The Knit Tree

Welcome to The Knit Tree on Facebook! Thanks for taking the time to read about our business and view our products! In 2010 another addition to the team was made.

We are a home business located in the scenic area of Redding California. Our business has been thriving since 1970, when Sharon Nani received her first knitting machine from her dear husband, Dave. She accomplished her first set of knit slippers (pg) and found her hobby. Sharon soon became known as "The Slipper Lady" in Redding and she realized that a door had been opened with endless opportunity.

Thanks everyone for your support of our custom knits. 2023 has some exciting news for The Knit Tree. As Sharon Nani, owner, prepares for retirement, she is training her son, Ken to knit the items in the online store, plus the ones that were removed. Ken is going to take over The Knit Tree and its equipment so we can continue to offer these unique custom knits to our customers. Ken is not new to machine knitting - he earned his high school and college spending money by filling orders back in the 1990's, and has continued to help in maintaining the equipment. Ken is creative in his own rights with his "Custom Wood and Land Works" business where he falls the timber, prepares the lumber and creates unique wood items and projects: custom storage sheds, fences, decks ect. So we may add new catagories to this web site when the time arrives. SO LOOK FORWARD TO ADDING THE CAMO KNITS BACK INTO THE ONLINE STORE THIS YEAR.

I hope to get back to knitting more now that my great granddaughters are back in school. Some big changes though-- I sold my two big Passap E8000 machines that I made the Native blankets and Winona Camouflage yardage on. So I am in the process of converting those patterns over to be knit on my Passap E6000. The graphic will be the same but texture different. I also did a series of videos on how to knit on the Passap E8000 which I posted on Utube. They showed the process of knitting a blanket and all the steps and tips to go with it. I hope to start putting up learning utube videos up for lessons on the Passap DM80 and E6000 as well. Go to this link to see my playlist of 11 videos https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLNX1jjpDLXrtDxxEPOxIhheASESKvzDRB
Enjoy, I am just learning how to post these utubes, so I have to go back in each to change a setting so people can leave comments.

Passap E8000 Knitting Machine I created a playlist of about 12 videos of all the steps of knitting a blanket on the Passap E8000 knitting machine, includes designing, oiling, setup, and c...
