This section of our prime job on the Cummings Skyway on the Concord Loop ramp was challenging to say the least.
But we hunkered down as a team and made it happen.

JUNIOR MECHANIC
Full Time

Our fast-paced and growing local company is seeking a junior mechanic to assist our Construction Division head mechanic.

In this position you will be responsible in the following areas:
• Inspecting and repairing all types of vehicles & equipment, including
heavy equipment under the supervision of head mechanic
• Documenting any repairs, modifications, and inspections of company vehicles & equipment under the supervision of head mechanic
• Monitoring parts inventory
• Maintaining a clean and organized shop

To succeed in this role, you should be physically fit and have a basic knowledge of mechanic’s tools, service, and equipment.
Our ideal candidate MUST have an interest to work in this field of work. They will have a strong attention to detail, work well under supervision and a willingness to learn.

**Valid driver’s license is a must.
Hourly Wage will be dependent on experience

• Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE, NCCER, electrical licenses) a plus.

We currently have an opening for an experienced Class A (CDL) Driver, and we are seeking a career-oriented, self-motivated, and dependable team player to join our company.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
Duties include delivery and pick up of equipment and materials throughout the State of California. Driver will communicate with our Equipment Manager, Project Managers and Field Foremen.

SKILL, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES
• Possess the ability to follow instructions as directed by Equipment and Project Managers.
• Experience with chains, binders, straps and heavy equipment is required.
• Driver must be able to safely operate truck and trailer on construction sites, in tight quarters.
• Must be able to report to work on time and work all hours required of the job, including overtime.
• Primarily outdoor activity during all seasons.
• Environment also includes frequent work around motor vehicles and moving equipment.
• Must be able to travel and work out of town. Occasionally, out of town overnights are required depending on the distance of the job site. HSC offers lodging and per-diem (meal allowance) while working out of town.
• May be required to work weekends or holidays.

REQUIREMENTS
• Valid Class A CDL with double and triple endorsements and a current medical card
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• 2 years driving experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
• Must be knowledgeable in and have an understanding of DOT regulations
• Must have a good driving record
• Attendance, Shift Punctuality
• Ability to operate a forklift to move material and load your delivery vehicle
• Safety conscious attitude concerning all aspects of work: yourself, your equipment and your surroundings
• Comfortable using Electronic Login Devices that are wirelessly connected to your mobile device to produce driving record vehicle inspections

Benefits:
• 401(k)- available after the first 6 months of employment. Company matches the first 4%.
• Health, Dental and Vision Insurance- available after 90 days of employment. 80/20 company pays 80% of medical premium and Employee pays 20%
• Paid Time Off- available after 1 year of employment.

Hourly rate is $26.00 to $28.00 per hour and will be determined by experience.
