Lots of plants ready for the garden.

Join the Shasta College Horticulture Department for their their 53rd Annual Spring Plant Sale!

Friday, April 12th, and Saturday, April 13th, from 9am - 4pm at the Shasta College Farm

The sale will feature annual flowering plants, perennials, herbs, vegetable plants, trees, shrubs, native plants, succulents, and house plants. Plant varieties being sold are selected for their ability to survive and thrive in this area's climate. The plants are grown using sustainable practices with many of the vegetable starts certified organic. Horticulture Students, Master Gardeners, and California Native plant experts will be on-hand to answer garden and landscape questions.

The California Native Plant Society (CNPS) will also be on site selling a wide selection of California Native plants to raise funds for local student scholarships and restoration. The Plant Sale is planned and staffed by horticulture students. All plants are grown on site by students and the proceeds from the sale supports the Shasta College Horticulture Program and student scholarships.

For those who are unable to attend in person, plants can be ordered online and picked up at the Shasta College Farm after the sale. Starting on April 15, plant orders can be placed at:
https://www.shastacollege.edu/the-community/farm-nursery-shop/

Hello everyone! We have a number of Christmas trees available free of charge at the farm. They range from 5-11 feet and will be available on a first-come, first serve basis. Our netters and saws are put away for the year, so trees are available as-is :)

We will be unable to hold trees or answer messages about tree availability, so if you or someone you know needs a tree for Christmas, come out to the farm and see what is left.

If you are able to make a donation to the Ag Leadership Club to help support the students it is appreciated, but not required.

There are currently 59 trees available. You may come to the farm today (Friday) until 5 PM and Sat/Sun from 9-5. Feel free to take whichever tree you like from the pens. You do not need to find a student to check out. Make sure you bring tie-downs for your tree!

Merry Christmas from the Shasta College Ag Leadership Club!

An Update for everyone planning to attend the Christmas Tree Sale and Country Christmas Fair:

Hello everyone! Due to the growth of this event, we are changing the way parking is going to run this year. Instead of parking on the farm, we are asking that everyone parks in our East parking lot. There will be handicap parking ONLY on the farm this year. We will have a shuttle running between the parking lot and the farm, and it is a short walk. Take a look at the map prior to arriving so you know what to expect. There will be signs and parking attendants to guide you as you arrive on campus.

Come on down and pick out your tree, then spend some time enjoying the Country Christmas Fair. We will have a staging area for your tree to wait for you. When you are ready for your tree to be loaded onto your vehicle, you may drive into our loading area on the farm and one of our students will help you load your tree and get you on your way.

We appreciate your patience with us. This is a student-run fund raising event :) Remember: 100% of the proceeds for this event support the ag leadership students in their education!

We are looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend!
