Last Friday, I helped out another service, using their vehicle (we dont have one) to take care of their client Stanford Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery with Dr. Dan Bethencourt and team. Picked them up at Guardian Jet Center ONT and went to OneLegacy in Azuza. I made a post on LinkedIn about our near miss drive back to the airport with donor lungs onboard in back.

Once we get our own vehicle we can service other organizations as
well as our own clients, and help our friends if their vehicles are busy. We are asking for any donation, including a car or borrowed
vehicle that runs.

I advocate the allowed use of amber warning lights on all vehicles
transporting organs and transplant surgical teams in California.

Delivery drivers and couriers who worked for "Deliver-iT" and "DI Logistics" that were called "independent contractors" and are not being paid by the company.

Deliver-iT owners have been violating multiple labor laws AND intentionally misclassifing workers as contractors and forcing them to pay a $108 monthly fee to a racketeering scam for contractor "status" and so called "accident insurane" The racket is being run by "Nica, Inc." of Hingham, MA. For some strange reason both multi-state and Federal authorities have allowed this scam to operate for years.

Many Deliver-iT "IC" couriers have quit in the last weeks because they have not been paid. You have rights, it does not matter what agreement you signed. A courier or delivery driver who works for a delivery service company is an employee. He cannot be an independent contractor. This has been the law for decades!

In 2007 the California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board upheld a ruling from 2003 and created a precedent decision, that is available to read on internet. This ruling involved a courier delivery company that worked in conspiracy with Nica, Inc. Just like Deliver-iT is doing today. If it was illegal in 2003 it is still illegal in 2024 - 21 years later, and the Deliver-iT owners and management knows it.

The best action you can take is to file a labor law violation compliant and state you were misclassified and not paid. You can do it online.

You are being ripped off. While paying piece rate is legal in California, you must still be paid minimum wage and overtime, plus rest breaks. You must be compensated for the use of your phone and data. They must provide you tools to perform the work they want you to do. You have the right to unemployment insurance and workers compensation insurance, which is the employers responsibility, not yours to be forced to pay some scam company over $100 each month. All employers are required to contribute to each workers social security, this is how the system has worked since 1937. Deliver-iT owners want to put that 6% into their pockets, make you pay the full amount, because they dont want to follow the law and contribute to a better society.

Currently there are four wage and hour class action lawsuits against Deliver-iT by employees in four different counties. None that we can find on misclassification. They have a history of not complying with the law.

If your a courier, chauffeur, messenger, or delivery driver and the company you work everyday for is telling you that your an independent contractor and not an employee of the company, they are violating the law and intentionally misclassifying your employment status to save themselves money by not complying with the many labor laws, that have been around for decades to protect employees from abuse, and to provide SSA and other insurances that employers have to contribute to. You are being ripped off.

State labor enforcement is very slow, generally not proactive and relies on your making a complaint or report. The recent trends indicate that companies are hiring workers that they feel are low income, ignorant or more compliant with the employer's scheme, they are seeking out immigrants and those whose first language is not English.

All these factors mean that politicians from both parties are not making a top priority the enforcement of labor laws and protections for the low income working class. Although the Biden Administration Labor Department has made some recent positive changes, which are being attacked by business and right wing enablers in general. They apparently do not want money going into your pockets, instead of theirs.

Today, Audrie's Limousine Service begins a program to educate and shine a light on "independent contractor" abuse and efforts to eliminate employee status, especially in the driving professions, and to call out the companies who are violating their employees rights and to push the state to make a public searchable record of companies who have had labor, unemployment and workers compensation actions against them.

Hello TMA. Is there a way for Andre Koslov of Afrosiab Street, Mirabad District, Tashkent to get transport and treatment at your hospital? He is dying at home because of dysfunctional and incompetent care from Mirabad Polyclinic and Clinical Hospital #1 Urology Dept. He has untreated Hematuria, cystitis, stones and very low hemoglobin .Hospital #1 refused to give IV, with hemoglobin level 71, provide gurney to lay on, admit to critical care or transport to Republican Emergency Medical Center. Polyclinic doctor first ignored request for help in November and then came two weeks ago for Urine Culture, finally and full 7 tube blood panel (w/ low hemoglobin ) She said Andre needed procedure at other hospital and left. She never wrote order or followed up. We wont talk about crazy NOV. 12 when unknow Doctor wearing black bath robe sent Andre to Shox International for CAT scan, instead of Republic Hospital, and never did a urine culture, basic urinalysis and never followed up with any further action, except to make 81 year old wife sit the next day for hours thinking she was waiting for results of Urine Culture (which takes about 3 days) and further help for Andre. 3 Months later still waiting and seems as all goverment hospitals in Tashkent are unreachable except the one that has so far failed!!!

My elderly father in-law, an artist and interior designer who has lived in Tashkent since 1966, is very ill with something in his urinary system that is causing significant bleeding and low hemoglobin levels. His name is Andre Koslov and he lives in the Mirabad district with his wife Svetlana, my 16 year old daughter Nadia is there attending her last year at School 110 with my wife who is giving round the clock care and hitting a brick wall of dysfunction from the Mirabad Polyclinic to the Clinical Hospital #1, which cannot even provide an IV and a gurney to lay on for a patient with hemoglobin level of 71 and who is collapsing, and refuses to transfer to other hospital, would not and did not perform a Urine culture AND sent patient to a private hospital -Shlox - for a CAT scan, not to one of several goverment hospitals that reportedly have modern radiology equipment!!

Unfortunately despite all the big government hospitals run by the Uzbek Ministry of Health my family there does not seem to be able to access any competent medical care outside the Mirabad District!

The ambulance service refuses to transport him to The Republican Emergency Medical Center. or any other major hospital with Emergency Service, or an advanced and competent Urology department.

If your to ill to travel by taxi and the hospital will not answer the phone or they will not arrange transport, how does anyone get medical care in Tashkent?? Are we just supposed to let loved ones die at home without treatment like it is 14th century not 2024 in a big modern city?

Is there anyone in Tashkent or Uzbekistan or any doctor or urologist who knows a colleague there who could get this beloved husband, father and grandfather some little attention and medical care at one of the government Republic medical centers emergency or urology? If you can make a call or send a message to some caring medical, health or government professional - PLEASE HELP.

I am not asking for money as government medical care for the elders is supposed to be covered in Uzbekistan , we are asking for empathy and caring doctors who believe in healing over soums or dollars, and ambulance transport to said hospital....

Helped out a friend who needed a third experienced limousine chauffeur for a funeral in Redlands yesterday at Unied Church of Christ on Bellvue at Olive street. Three limousine is a very rare thing. We had a motocycle traffic es**rt to the Riverside National Cemetary. It was quite procession and a nice tribute for the deceased and the family. I drove the black Lincoln limo in the middle with 8-9 passengers.

Picked up client at Union Station Saturday AM. Nice change from busy airport. Suggestion for La Union Station Metrolink Station - plenty of security standing around - but not near restrooms - they need to monitor restrooms more frequently...

Applied for a driving job at Deliver-It San Bernardino last week. Hope they hire me! If I can safely get people to airport, I can deliver your package too!
