Our owl alums are out there doing great things. Ryan Long (’17), pitched for Great Britain against Team USA at the World Baseball Classic on prime time TV this weekend. Way to go, Ryan!

It's dark day! A tradition started by Overlake's founder who liked to take the students on surprise adventures during the 'dark' cold months of winter. This morning, everyone from the students to the the adults headed on down to the Family Fun Center for a great day of games, pizza, and fun! Here are just a few of the highlights from this fun surprise.

In a return to pre pandemic tradition, the community gathered together to send off the boys and girl cross country teams to state. Good luck to all our amazing athletes!

It's International Peace Day! MS Impact held a beautiful ceremony with singing, poetry, and dancing. Enjoy some of the musical offerings from students including the whole fifth grade class!

Happy Earth Day! This week, the Environmental Club has been hosting lunch activities to raise awareness. Students got to plant seeds in small pots and here you can see students powering lightbulbs using the energy created from an exercise bike. Students were challenged to sustain the light for a full minute. What a workout!

Say goodbye to the tiny house that was built during Project Week! And a big congratulations to the team that built this beautiful "mango house".

It was so great to have project weeks back in full swing at Overlake. Many alums point to project week as one of their favorite memories as an owl. Enjoy just some of the fun times from this week!

In honor of International Women's Day, students in the MS Impact Club put together a video sharing what this day means to them. #internationalwomensday

These creative sixth graders turned their assignment into a rap battle! They debated which revolution was more revolutionary: American or French, and they performed it this afternoon for their class. Check it out!

If you enjoyed yesterday's video of the lion dancers, check out some other skills they have, including a technique called "head stacking" where the 'tail' dancer lifts the 'head' dancer above their head, and a sword kung fu demonstration.

In honor of the Lunar New Year, Overlake welcomed Lion Dancers to campus, thought to bring good luck in the coming year. Check out their colorful parade!
