After a lot of moving and deliberation, I am happy to announce PRISM's final time and place for this semester. PRISM will be meeting on Tuesdays in Descartes from 2:00 - 3:00PM. See you there!

PRISM will be offering rides to the Seattle Pride March (Different from the larger Pride Parade on the 25th) this Sunday!

Our final event of DigiPen Pride Week is happening tonight at 5 in Gibran - stop by and listen to the anonymous Q&A Panel, where we answer questions presented by the Digipen student body!

(As a side note, there will be no PRISM meeting tonight due to the event overlap)

Unfortunately, there will not be a PRISM meeting this week, as my ride down to GDC had to leave earlier than expected. Feel free to meet up on your own, but I will not be there to officiate the meeting.

LAST-MINUTE RESCHEDULE! The marathon is now being held in Socrates!

Remember, the Steven Universe/Anime marathon will be tonight at 5PM in the Rec Room. There will be sandwiches for all who attend!

Unfortunately, today's PRISM-hosted anime marathon will be postponed until next week Thursday at 5PM. This was done due to sudden schedule changes, financial issues, and to give the event better publicity at DigiPen.

There is no PRISM meeting today due to Founder's Day. Sorry about the miscommunication!

Excellent news for non-binary Californians! Here's hoping this extends to other states soon, too.

California bill would add ‘nonbinary’ gender option on state identification Senate Bill 179, from Sen. Toni Atkins, D-San Diego, would streamline the process for changing gender on state documents and introduce an official “nonbinary” designation. Lawmakers said it was important for California to lead on le***an, gay, bisexual and transgender rights.

Hey, fellow PRISM folks! Good news: We have confirmed our new place and time for meetings in the new semester, and it will be... *drum roll*

6-7PM on Fridays in Hokusai!

Our first meeting will be the 13th of this month, so stop by and greet the new semester with pride!

As an additional note, the new meeting time for next semester is tentatively 6PM on Fridays. This may change, but let us know of any conflicts in advance, if you're able.

Today, we hosted our Trans Day of Remembrance event at DigiPen. While we were interrupted by the fire drill, we were eventually able to finish reading all 300+ names. With the help of Elza from DigiPen's event staff, believe we did a respectful job holding an event to honor the lives of those we have lost due to transphobic violence this past year.

To all our trans siblings who have been taken from us, rest in power. We will fight to make the world better.

What happened on Tuesday night was a disaster for LGBT rights in this nation, as well as for the rights of American people of color, and those of other faiths. This will be a very difficult 4 years for marginalized groups if the electoral college votes as predicted.

But we will not back down. This is a wake-up call to anyone disengaged in the political process, and a sign that we need to fight every battle with the pretense that if we don't make our voices heard, things will invariably get worse.

PRISM is primarily a support group and a social gathering, but as of now, we will discuss being this school's voice for social justice activism. We will work to organize events and more aggressively push for policy movements on the school level and the local level. We will fight tooth and nail for the rights we have earned - the rights we DESERVE.

It is absolutely understandable if you are still too shaken to attend this today's meeting. We all need time to recover from this tragedy. But when you are ready, PRISM will be here waiting for you, and we need your help. Join us, and we will do everything we can to make the world a safer, kinder, and more accepting place.
