SPF is such an important part of the tailored skincare routines we put together for our (acne) clients
and one question we get VERY often is:
“But why do I have to wear sunscreen every day? I usually just wear it when I go to the beach.”

Besides the common and obvious answers like
‘to prevent skin cancer’ or ‘to protect against pre-mature aging’…

Here are some other reasons wearing sunscreen daily is especially important to those with acne prone skin:

•inflammation from sunburns can worsen acne breakouts
•sunscreens containing zinc can be particularly good in soothing acne prone skin and reducing redness
•not wearing it increases the chances of your acne creating hyperpigmentation/scars
•helps to protect acne scars so they don’t become more pigmented
