IT’S SHOWTIME for Timeless Tuesday! 🏆

The 1980s were the height of LA Lakers dominance, blending sports and pop culture into iconic history. In January 87’, the team took a break for a Miller Lite promo on the Body Glove yacht, ‘Disappearance’, owned by Body Glove co-founder Bob Meistrell and his wife Patty. Captured by NBA photographer Andy Bernstein, this legendary shot was a playful nod to ‘The Love Boat’, with coach Pat Riley as the captain and assistant coach Randy Pfund, in a ‘20s-era bathing suit, holding an inflatable globe — a cheeky twist on the Lakers’ global fame.

The original photo still hangs in the Body Glove office today. How rad is that shot?!

It takes a force of nature to rise with the waves, and Tatiana Weston-Webb is no exception. As the first Brazilian woman to achieve historic success in women’s surfing, she continues to inspire us and future generations of female surfers. Passion for surfing is a commitment loved by many but understood by few.

Tati’s warmth, dedication, and unconditional love for surfing are a testament to her character and her profound impact on the sport. Her influence is forever woven into the fabric of our culture.

We are so proud to celebrate Tati’s achievement on the world stage. It has been an honor to watch her journey every step of the way!
