Stanford’s men soccer is second to none. I would encourage everyone to go visit and watch a game. It’s family- friendly and just pure joy. Shout out to the players and coaches for creating an incredible atmosphere.

The largest affordable housing project in San Mateo County’s history, Midway Village in Daly City’s Bayshore neighborhood, received key financial support from the Board of Supervisors Tuesday with a $14 million loan. When completed, Midway will provide 555 units of housing for foster youth, seniors, veterans and families and includes a childcare center and soccer field for community use. This project showcases what affordable housing is in the modern age!

Today we celebrated the grand re-opening of the Mickelson Pool. Huge thanks to @Lindsay.Raike and all the community members who rallied to save it. A big shout-out as well to the County of San Mateo, the cities, towns, and healthcare districts that were present today and passed resolutions to keep the pool open. Thank you to Sutter Health CEO Warren Thomas for listening and making this reopening a reality. And a special shout-out to the @raginggrannies for all their work! Grateful for everyone who recognized the value this pool brings to San Mateo County and the Bay Area. #CommunityHealth #Rehabilitation #Wellness #WarmWaterTherapy #SanMateoCounty

We’re overcoming loneliness the Italian way 🇮🇹: For the price of a fast-food burger, Elio has created a warm and welcoming space where seniors, high school kids, and others can come together to share more than just a meal—they’re sharing life, stories, and meaningful connections. Sapore has become the heart of Burlingame Avenue, where you’ll hear laughter and conversation in both Italian and English, and truly feel like part of a family. 🍝 This is how we alleviate loneliness, and I couldn’t be prouder of Elio for making it happen. #Community #Connection #ItalianCulture @@LenaHowland

Today, we celebrated a historic ribbon cutting for the new housing project for Jefferson Elementary School District teachers and staff! Nearly three years since breaking ground on August 11, 2021, this project is now providing homes for those who nurture our children. With soaring rents and low pay, many teachers struggle to live near their schools. Thank you, Jefferson School District, for your leadership! This project is a historic step for Daly City, now home to two Faculty and Staff Housing Projects in San Mateo County. 👏🏽🏠 #DalyCity #TeacherHousing #CommunityFirst #JeffersonElementary #MakingHistory
