Look what we got from a Sequoia High alum during #bannedbooksweek, no less! This might be the most overdue book we’ve ever received—60 years late and we’ll take it. Thank you, James for your donation to the library and for returning one of the most banned (and beautiful) books of all time. We are grateful! The excitement of all the community members who came to the sneak preview of the Redwood City Public Library Makerspace last night was palpable. The Library staff and the Redwood City Library Foundation team really outdid themselves with the event. There were tours of the space, demos (3D printer, laser cutter, sewing machines), food and drink, crafts for kids, and so much more. And although a blown diode kept the Tesla coil demonstration brief, it was truly awesome while it lasted – thank you to our friends at Endiatx for bringing this impressive marvel of science! We cannot wait for the Makerspace to open in January so that we can let the community make, create and innovate in this inspirational space. There is still time to donate needed equipment to the Makerspace and you can do so here: https://www.rclfdn.org/makerspace City of Redwood City
