Dear San Mateo County Taxpayers,

Just a reminder that property taxes are due by 5pm Monday, Dec. 11th since the 10th falls on the weekend. Our offices are open 9-5 in Redwood City, South San Francisco and Half Moon Bay. You can also take advantage of our online services at tax.smcgov.org and our drive-thru drop box on Winslow by the childcare center in Redwood City open 24/7 until 5pm 12/11/23.

To avoid penalties if waiting until the last minute to pay, consider having your payment date stamped by the 12/11/23 at the post office or purchase a proof of mailing certificate dated no later than 12/11/23 from the post office. Only timely USPS postmarks are accepted, Pitney Bowes stamps are not acceptable to prove timely payment. Also, please be advised that electronic payments are credited when received NOT when initiated. E-check is a free service.
