Dear Gold ’N Silver Inn Facebook followers,

I’m happy to announce a set date for the change of ownership of the Gold ‘N Silver Inn. April 30th will be my last day, and on May 1st, Jacobs Entertainment will assume operating responsibilities.

Contrary to the many rumors that have been flying around Reno for the past two years, The Gold ‘N Silver Inn IS NOT GOING AWAY! Jacobs Entertainment has advised me that they intend to “keep things as they are”, with plans for future expansion and remodeling.

They have also told me that they will offer our current employee’s opportunities to stay on at the Gold ‘N Silver Inn. The initial plan that they have shared with me is to maintain the current menu, and make changes slowly over time. There will be some initial “glitches” as they bring in their own operating systems, but we will be working closely with them so as to transition as seamlessly as possible.

I have had a wonderful 35 years being the owner / operator of Reno’s oldest restaurant. I can’t begin to tell you how many people I have met, and how much I have come to appreciate them as well as appreciating our fantastic employees.

I’m not saying good-bye yet, but rather, hope to see you soon at the G & S!

We'll be wrapping up a bit early - seating guests until 9:30 pm 🕤, taking last orders at 9:45 pm 🕙 and kindly asking our fantastic diners to clear the room by 10:30 pm 🕥.
