"Good nails aren't cheap, and cheap nails aren't good".

This client opted for the "quick and easy" Walmart nails. It was MMA (Methylmethacrylate). This is the same material of which they make (teeth colored) fillings and joint prosthetics.
Reason that's bad to use for nails? It is TOO hard and rigid. Once lifting starts, it delaminates the nail, causing it to be thin and weak. OR....if you catch it just right, it can rip your natural nail right out of the nail bed.

MMA can also cause allergic reactions to ANY acrylate based product....meaning you could not only have a reaction to ANY/ALL nail enhancements (except regular polish), you may have allergic reactions to the following, too:

Fillings
Joint prosthetics
Super glue
Eyelash glue

These products are acrylate based.

Allergic reactions to nail products can be as subtle as itching, or blisters on the contact site; or as bad as Onycolysis (detachment of the nail plate from the nail bed) and worse.

It is not worth it.
