Some may have noticed our stalls shades closed this past two weeks. Some even have mentioned that they thought us just out @ Night In The County, And yes, we were at NITC for a week with our food truck.
But the truth is have decided to close our location at Reno Public Market.
When I set out to open my buisness it was never to work 7 days a week, unless I wanted to. The struggle to hire and keep good staff has been a challenge. A challenge we’ve been unable to overcome of late. When we are short staffed at the restaurant, someone (me) has to cover the location. But at the same time we’ve got a full food truck schedule. And I’m pretty much the only one that knows everything it’s going to take to have a smooth service. As much as I wish I could: I can’t be in two places at once.
And so this last year and a half the toll taken has been too great. One day I woke up and realized I’m not doing what I want any longer, that I’m not in the position I wanted to be in. And so rather than allow the food truck to suffer and other aspects of my life. I found it necessary to cut out an important part of it.
Reno Public Market is a wonderful space full of great people striving to produce great products and services. They are like a family to me. And while it pains me deeply to walk away… it’s what’s best for me. One day, after some professional growth and more experience, maybe we will make a return to this extraordinary hotspot. So get over there and Support our friends at RPM that our grinding and sacrificing everyday to feed you.
Even though you won’t be able to get our food there. I’ll be there regularly hanging out with my big RPM family. And you can always come to our food truck to grab some grub.
For all our friends, family and loyal customers know that is a step in a direction that will lead to healing and self improvement. My intention in the coming years is to learn from others how to better manage stress brought on by the workplace, to expand my knowledge in the culinary arts and become a better man, a better chef, a better boss while doing so.
As always much love and stay tuned to upcoming announcements and food truck schedules. Food truck schedule will be kinda light over the next month as I take a breather. But know we will continue to Wok & Roll.

This week at we found our rhythm, FINALLY! Having a brick & mortar… it’s something that I’ve taken for granted… walking in each day and everything’s ready for action. On the food truck… it’s a whole other story. The days leading up to an event, many hours are spent getting everything ready, situated, prepped, in order to work say a 5 hour event. It’s been obvious to me that my food truck game was a little rusty, seeing as we’ve taken basically a year off from regularly working the Reno circuit with our truck. And this year I decided to take on an additional workload by doing a Pop-Up kitchen, along side the food truck. I didn’t know what I was getting myself into. But now with the kinks worked out. And the machine well oiled up and smoothly running…. I reflect… and I couldn’t have done any of this without my team. Comprised of friends, family and employees. The whole team has come together to pull it off each week. I’m lucky to have them and grateful for the vital part they play. So here’s to us y’all 🍻 and to the successful season we have before us!
To say I’m excited is an understatement, for this years food truck season. Last year we dialed back our food truck operations to put focus on our brick and mortar THIS YEAR, we’re coming in hot! We’ve got a full schedule AND we’re bringing something new! Tomorrow you can visit & our pop up kitchen. We will have an oyster bar & smash burger bar in operation all season So come visit us as we get down in the kitchen for y’all!

If you’ve seen the news, many are leaving RPM. In all honesty, we are weighing the decision daily. With increased food cost & labor costs, it’s rough to own a small business. I understand & sympathize with my friends making the choice to depart. HOWEVER, we are hanging on daily, and doing the best we can to stay. I want this to be an extension of our brand, as originally planned. is a destination, as a previous brick and mortar owner, I know that to hit these numbers would take a decade or longer. I and my life partner, just worked 365 days, for this dream. The pay is little to non-existent, but it was the first year. I pray we can make it to year 3-5, and see some benefit. Luckily we have our food truck biz, and hope that this year is bountiful. RPM is a great opportunity, one I hope to capitalize on the coming years. My official statement is: while our economy goes thru many fluctuations & changes we will strive to provide the best food and culinary experience possible. I implore you to support small biz, visit us frequently, and see local business owners doing the absolute best they can for you. From day one, I’ve been in my own eyes I’ve been one of the biggest supporters of this project. And I will continue to do so thru the hard times and the better. It is my belief that a property such as this brings a much needed local food culture community to Northern Nevada. I’ve witnessed first hand the impact, success, community, collaboration, and so much more that all of us that have been apart of this project have contributed and played apart in creating…. It is that aspect that I defend daily.
1.Kimchi
Kimchi is one of the healthiest foods in the world. This spiced pickled vegetable is Koreans most famous dish and is served with every meal in Korea.
2. Tteokbokki
Tteokbokki is a very popular street food that consists of rice cake pieces, vegetables and fish cake. This spicy and delicious dish goes really well with a beer.
3.Kimchi jjigae
The Kimchi soup either made with cabbage Kimchi, tofu, vegetables or meat. It’s very healthy and warming; especially on cold winter days.
4. Japchae
The original „fried noodles “! – Japchae is prepared with glass noodles, vegetables and a sauce for frying.
5. Bulgogi
The Korean fire – meat. Spiced marinated beef is cooked on the open fire and is a “must have” at every Korean BBQ!
6. Bossam
This makes the meat tender and soft. Bossam is served in slices on salad leaves with rice, kimchi and other side dishes. This dish is full of flavour.
7. Jjajangmyeon
Don’t worry – those black noodles in bean sauce are one of the absolute highlights of the Korean cuisine.
8. Bibimbap
Bibimbap is a bowl filled with rice and a variety of thinly sliced vegetables. The individual sauce makes this dish extra special.
9.Samgyeopsal
It is basically just very thin sliced pork belly. This part of the pig is very important in Korea. It’s a favourite at Korean BBQ and is eaten along with great sauces, side dishes, vegetables and rice.
10. Mul Naengmyeon
Mul Naengmyeon is a cold noodle dish, that mostly is eaten on warm summer days. The special noodles are made out of buckwheat and are typical for this dish.
