It’s been a rough week! We are saddened to hear of the passing of Tyler Mort. Tyler was a VORRA OG. Tyler raced 1600 and class 10 for a long time and also volunteered as a flag man for many years. Losing friends is never easy, and this one is a little tougher, being Tyler was BJ’s god father and the person who introduced the Butcher family to VORRA. Good speed Tyler, race hard in paradise, and all of our love to Tyler’s wife, Cindy Mort.

Update! There is a change of location this Saturday. The new address is the American legion at 6700 8th Street in Rio Linda at 1 pm.

We would like to offer our love and condolences to the family and friends of Randy Miller. Randy was a long time racer with Vorra. Like many, Randy raced with his kids and family. Randy was one of the first to jump in and help when needed. And through Vorra, Randy met and spent the last 20 years with his amazing wife Elsa.
Randy sadly passed away on Oct 18th. His celebration of life will be on November 2nd The address Is now the American legion 6700 8th Street in Rio Linda. Bring a chair and your favorite drink. If there’s something you’d like to share about Randy, you can write it down or share it with everyone during the celebration.

It’s race day! Staging starts at 7am in Weeks for the Mx and quads, and 9:45 in Dayton for the cars, trucks and utvs. Be sure to check out RacingTrax.com for live tracking. Star stream for live in car footage, and Laura and I will be going live throughout the day following the leaders to the finish in Tonopah!

Fantastic day of qualifying! Shout out to dragging the rear bumper off of the finish line jump. Check out the live show to see it!

For those headed North on US95 please be aware of some road construction between Tonopah and the Millers Rest stop. There have been delays in this area so make sure to plan accordingly.
This will only affect any weekday travel. There should be no construction on Race Day.

It’s almost time for Gold Rush! Who’s ready to rock?!

TrophyLite is offering pit services at the Rawhide Pit for the 2024 RPI Gold Rush Race! Their team will assist with fueling and can transport parts and tires to the pit for you.

Prices are:
$50 - Motorcycles & Quads - Fuel & deliver any necessities (goggles, snacks, etc)
$75 - Car, Truck, UTV - Tire & Part Delivery
$100 - Car, Truck, UTV - Fuel, Tire & Part Delivery

Supply drop off will be in Virginia City Friday October 12th from 3-6:30pm next to the Train Depot. You will pick up your supplies after the Race at the Legacy Box Van located at the finish line in Tonopah. Supplies will arrive late Saturday but will be available for pick up Sunday morning.

Rawhide will be the only pit where services are being offered.

Do you guys see a familiar face?? 😉

We’ve been working diligently to secure the 2024 Gold Rush start line in downtown Virginia City. However, we've encountered an unexpected challenge due to a private property that is currently undergoing a change in ownership, preventing us from obtaining the necessary approvals.

As a result, we will be relocating the start line. Cars, trucks, and UTVs will now begin at the Dayton Rodeo Grounds. Given the complexity of this start, we’ve made the difficult but necessary decision to shift the Motorcycle & Quad start to Pit #1 in Weeks. Many of us are familiar with the hazards of Old Como, including the challenging terrain and early sunrise. After careful consideration, we believe this adjustment is the safest option.

This change will also give teams a head start, helping them get further ahead of the cars and trucks to avoid the recent issues of being caught mid-race.
