Okay folks. Getting ready to shut down my Facebook account.
Those that have my email can always get in touch.
Been fun, been real but has not been real fun.
Enjoy!!!!!
Okay, the Great Ship Charlotte is up and going.
War declared. So far a fish has stolen and dragged of a rod and reel and the fish just snapped my new rod as I was trying to bring it in.
The VA is very confusing. They are asking now for paperwork I sent them in January. I do finally have my first VA Exam next month. Only been nine months since I submitted paperwork.
No wonder Vets get frustrated.
Not sure what happen to my other post. But, the last storm took our flag. I have replaced with bigger Flag.
Okay, looks like we will be moving Inland this weekend. Need to make sure OMA is safe.
Nice on my chart ploy I receive the emails and messages. Lot easier to ignore since I can’t respond from helm.
Amazing. I had to get a permit not only for Florida but a Federal HMS Permit.
Wow not sure what more restrictive jurisdictions have.
Anyway, I am permitted and ready for season.
Okay, I just paid (never mind) a lot for a pulpit rail so Sean can come and harpoon fish. I could not afford safety strap but he provides no grandchild so no loss.
Cooking some Channel Cat, Ribs and Corn on the grill.
Finally, upgrades and electronics complete, back in the water and Mom is back.
Week of 16th (Sept) heading to Marco Island and cruise the Gulf of Mexico. Maybe do a little fishing and just checking the Islands out.
When I was young, very young, my Non (Grandma) would take me fishing on the Delta and Yosemite.
We did that for years. Trout, Salmon, Bass and my favorite. Blue Cats.
I have not caught one today and not for lack of trying previously.
A beauty. Maybe and I will brag 8 to 10 pounds.
That is good dinner.
View from my porch tonight. We are so blessed with such beauty of nature.
SawFish. Amazing history. Check it out. Photo and back to water. I estimate 3-4 feet and probably 15 lbs. Endangered.
They have both knocked each other into the water. So it will be easier for me to pull them out, they now have life vests with harness. Pretty stylish.
Well the Sean Poll about missing Fathers Day has sent him scurrying back to play Pong or Packman filled with guilt and shame. Better set up Go Fund Me Page for Sean to buy a card.
Pulpit repaired and ready for action. Next baby rails. Have two months to season. All going to plan.
Finally bow and stern thrusters installed and working. Amazing how they help maneuver the boat it tight places.
You know, living on a boat alone (critters don't count) I feel like Sonny Crockett (who remembers him) ? I just need to find an Alligator named Elvis.
Unsettled Weather brings those tasty crustaceans close to shore. Put out trap. Lets see what we get.
How do I start a poll?
That Red Strip is a Tropical Disturbance. If you widen phot out you will see a boat. That’s me, pups and cat.
What a thrill!
Okay, finally moved back on board. Myself and critters very HAPPY!!!
All electrical up and good. Next step having new stove and washer/dryer installed.
Okay, this is a Florida Avocado. Wow
Yea, A/C on boat totally repaired and power issues have been resolved for most part. May have to do a little more on batteries.
We are down to the fan plugged into a 110 outlet outside. Temp inside now 101. No back-up.
Darn shore power out on boat. Reminds me of Fort Carson and Fort Campbell. Of course those were my younger years.
Good thing is I am losing weight. Bad thing is I am very dehydrated.
When I was this dehydrated I was MEDAVAC out of patrol area.
We will persevere
I will not be detoured, I will get this vessel up and ready. Then off to the third star to the right until morning.
Slight delay in weighing anchor. Electrical Gremlin has showed up. Being worked on.
Okay, Donna is with our poor baby Charlie. I am trying to stop from going stir crazy. I have two wonderful Collies and a very active Feline.
So, boat is off of Dry Dock (whoa the upgrades), anyway Pups and Angry Cat will be heading out Aug 1. Destinations just follow the posts.
Okay, just me, pups and kitty. If all is good we will be out on the great seas by August 1. Can't just sit here. A few electrical adjustments on Monday and we should be ready. Oh, except for the blondes and the beer.
Boat is on the hard for upgrades and new bottom paint. Hope to splash her before Donna returns. Miss being on the vessel.
Oma and Charlotte Jul 4th.
Welcome our Grand daughter Charlotte to the world.
Boat went up on dry dock today. Some upgrades that can only be done out of water.
Bow and Stern Thrusters, Prop protectors and a few other items. Be out of water for a few weeks.
Oh, we changed the name of the boat to The Minnow.
Final pre-trip checks. Glad we did, had arc in generator battery.
Simple fix but if not corrected could have been nasty fire.
Anyway, maiden voyage tomorrow. A three hour tour (heard that somewhere) to the Gulf.
There will be seven of us (heard that before as well).
Bitter sweet. Taking boat 2 hours up stream to go into dry dock for upgrades.
Going to miss living on it.
