In case you're wondering, Greg Latimer's Triad Technologies took home the Golden Shoe for bringing the most walkers! Ebara International was second, with Walmart coming in third.

We are so thankful to our community for your support of our work with the homeless and hurting.

Job Description
Triad Plastic Technologies is a high-quality, ISO certified plastic injection molding facility in the beautiful South Meadows commercial park in South Reno. We have an immediate opening for a injection molding machine operator on second shift (Monday through Thursday, 4 - 2:30am).

Successful candidates for this position will understand, read, and write in English, work well with others, and maintain our cooperative production environment; be detail oriented with an eye and a heart for our customers and our company.

Other requirements include: Ability to read and understand work orders and follow them to the letter, interface with other team members, and work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

We are committed to our associates and help them achieve their best, both professionally and personally. This is a long-term position offering security and stability.

What a great day! So proud of the Triad family who came out and braved the weather that our homeless friends face everyday! So many came out that we won the Gold this year!! Great job!!

Chilly temperatures and snow flurries gave way to warm hearts and smiles during the Mission’s annual “Walk a Mile in My Shoes” event.

More than 400 men, women and children showed up in force to support the Mission’s work with the homeless and hurting. “It’s an incredible show of unity,” said Rick Redding, executive director. “We’re always humbled by the support and compassion of this community.”

The walk is a one-mile path from Wingfield Park in downtown Reno to the Mission at 355 Record St.

While attracting solo walkers, families, pet owners, and parents with little ones in strollers, the event features a healthy battle between local businesses to bring the most walkers.

This year, Triad Technologies took top prize (a gold shoe) with more than 100 sponsored participants. Walmart took the silver, and Ebara International Corp. took the bronze.

“We’re so excited to finally wrestle this trophy away from Walmart,” beamed a happy Greg Latimer, owner of Triad. “We love this event and the things the Mission does to help the hurting people in our community.”

Reno-Sparks Gospel Mission

We're going for the Gold this year! Come on out and walk with Team Triad!!

It’s time to Walk a Mile!

Every year, more than 6oo men, women and children support the Reno-Sparks Gospel Mission’s “Walk a Mile in My Shoes” event, beginning this year at 9 a.m. Saturday Feb. 25 at Wingfield Park in downtown Reno.

Individuals, families, work groups and corporations are invited to walk to show their support for the Mission's efforts to help the homeless and hurting. The one mile walk ends at the Mission, 355 Record St.

Along the way, walkers will give to the homeless “Care Cups,” 32-oz reusable hard plastic cups filled with needed items such as aspirin, antacids, lip balm, nail clippers, ponchos and more.

The event, Northern Nevada’s largest show of public support for homeless services, is open to the public and walk-ups are encouraged. The registration is $30 per person or $25 per person for groups of four or more.

All proceeds help the homeless and hurting in Northern Nevada.
