🔥 Amid the devastation of the Davis Fire, which has burned over 5,000 acres of our beautiful Washoe County backyard, we’ve witnessed a glimmer of hope. Our hearts go out to those affected. Through tragedy, we’ve seen how powerfully our community unites.

On this Patriot Day, we honor the victims, survivors, and heroes of September 11th, 2001. We will never forget the bravery of first responders, the compassion of volunteers, and the resilience of a nation united in the face of tragedy.

At TIP of Northern Nevada, we continue to stand with our first responders, providing emotional support and care during crises. We are proud to serve our community and to honor the spirit of those who gave so much on that day.

We are deeply saddened to hear the news from REMSA Health about the passing of a dedicated colleague and team member of their Care Flight and dispatch divisions.

Our hearts go out to their family, friends, and the entire REMSA Health team during this incredibly difficult time. We stand in solidarity with them and extend our support to all those who continue to care for their communities amidst such a profound loss.

It is with a deeply heavy heart that we share the news that a REMSA Health colleague and team member of both the Care Flight and dispatch divisions passed away earlier today. As we work through this difficult time, we are grateful to our co-response partners for their support, as well as the organization’s providers, dispatchers and staff who continue to care for the communities we serve, especially in the midst of something so hard. Please keep our colleague’s family and team members in your thoughts.

I missed you quietly today. So quietly that no one noticed.
I missed you as I climbed out of bed and as I brushed my teeth; when I waited at the lights on the drive into work and as I heard the rain outside my window.
I missed you as I ordered lunch and as I kicked off my shoes when I got home; as I switched off the lights and climbed into bed for the night.
I missed you without tears or noise or fanfare.
But oh how I felt it.
I felt it in the morning, at lunchtime, in the evening and at night. I felt it as I woke, as I waited, as I worked. I felt it at home, on the road, in the light, in the dark, in the rain.
I felt it in every one of those moments, each one sitting heavier and heavier as the weight of me missing you kept growing and growing.
Yes, I missed you so quietly today.
But I felt it so loudly.
