Excited doesn’t begin to describe how I feel about the opportunity to get my hands on this book from THE strength authority that has made the hugest impact in my personal levels of strength!
I’ve invested A LOT of $$$ working with and learning from Paul over the last 9 years.
He’s been both a mentor to me in how I write programming and optimize lifting form and techie, and as a personal strength coach for my own strength journey.
I had Paul write my programming for about two years starting in 2020 and achieved the following lifetime drug-free PR’s:
💪🏻 recorded lifting 1,005 lbs in 33 seconds using the back squat, bench and deadlift!
💪🏻My KB overhead press went from doing one rep each arm with a 48kg bell to THREE consecutive reps!
💪🏻all time PR’s in the barbell front and zercher squat, both 255x 5 reps.
💪🏻all time best DL @ 425lbs
The value of this book will be an absolute steal for the results it will create!

Personalized Nutrition > Meal Plans
Meal plans fail when traveling.
Meal plans fail when there’s a deadline
Meal plans fail when you’re sick or need a day off
Personalized nutrition starts with a clear baseline
You can start tracking using your hand only, or an app if you enjoy tech
Personalized nutrition adapts based on how you feel after meals
Not me, nor Instagram Emily
It’s the process for being aware of how YOU respond to food
To carbs, and which types
To fat, and what amount creates satiety without feeling bloated
To protein, which honestly almost everyone is eating 1/ 2 of what is their optimal amount before learning personal nutrition habits
It’s the process to FEEL how much total energy per meal makes you focus clearly with peak physical energy
Today I knew more fat in the morning would make me feel best.
I kept protein high, and minimal carbs to have this meal in the caloric zone where I will feel great hours later.
If you haven’t been through this process and are tired of the confusion and extreme ideologies about nutrition let me know below or DM me to chat confidentially💪🏻🤙🏻

My Current Coffee Routine
Four Sigmatic + 1 packet of LMNT + splash of heavy cream.
I felt, accepted and processed intense cravings this morning for a nitro cold brew.
It’s interesting that these cravings appeared after my longest night sleep since beginning MeRT therapy.
I know that level of caffeine creates unwanted side effects.
A nitro is roughly 300mg caffeine, the four sigamtic is only 50mg.
These cravings last about 45:00 as I got my sons to school.
I shifted my focus to what I can do for my future stronger more successful-self that I’m building.
I listened to more chase Hughes trainings, and made this coffee as soon as I got home.
I was successful this am because I knew PRECISE targets to shift out of the state I was in.

Should fitness and health influencers be required to blood test regularly and disclose what substances they are using?🤔
My Answer: F**K YES!
“Listen to Your Body” is true, yet only half the solution.
When you spend years or decades living unnaturally you need an interpreter to translate what it’s telling you.
BJJ PR! (Personal record)
No, I didn’t receive any type of promotion today.
So what’s the PR???
I showed up.
Despite oversleeping from my brain feeling depleted.
I showed up 30:00 late.
Despite feeling self-conscious.
And then after class I committed to drilling, to refining and becoming more efficient.
Focusing on the basics, aka first principles. Despite feeling zero drive. Despite worry about judgment.
These are the moments willpower is truly built.
If you’re not asleep by 10p you are creating hormone imbalances.
For most this is the #1 “hardest” thing you can do.
Why is it that people want the most income possible, the nicest house, clothes, vacations and car possible…
Yet when it comes to their body it’s “good enough” to not be as strong & healthy as possible..? 🤔
“Everyone has different goals - some don’t want more strength.”
“People Don’t Have Ideas, Ideas Have People.”
If you were given a job that you were told paid $100K would you insist on only being paid $70K, or even less?
If a financial advisor told you how to retire saving $1 Million would you reject it and and tell them you only were interested in saving $700,000?
My passion and mission is discovering how great I can be and teaching what I discover to others.
Not only in terms of physical strength, but as a husband, a father, and a man who becomes the best version of myself.
Most people, sadly, will not come close to their potential.
Yes, for many their opportunities will be decided by when and where they are born in the world.
For every human though the #1 factor is their beliefs.
When I read people write that not everyone wants to be stronger my response is….., HUH?
Dont get me wrong, I am not judging here, in fact I have had this reaction many times recently from others whom I respect tremendously and feel nothing but friendship towards.
If this was true, that most are content not pursuing their best self, that there was not a deep yearning in us to be as strong as we can be…. this world would look unrecognizable.
There would be no superheroes.
Nor any form of entertainment showcasing elite physicality.
There would be no professional sports (that truthfully far too many males are addicted to to live through other men vicariously while ignoring their own health and potential).
I can’t think of a culture that doesn’t hold strength as a virtue.
So in reality all thoughts akin to;
“I am not an athlete, I don’t need to have my strongest body” are a virus (unhelpful idea) that is caught during the course of one’s life.
I think it is usually in one’s youth when they are emotionally and mentally hurt in some way by not being told they are a great athlete.
Or it happens when there is a traumatic event that seriously harms the body.
So when some well intended jackass like myself starts talking about building strength few possess it collides with this unhelpful and harmful idea that we should settle for a mediocre physical experience throughout our lifetime.
Attached to this unhelpful belief are the following.
“I’m not a physical person” (made up protection in youth in response to protect oneself from being teased or worse).
“I don’t want to get hurt” (pursuing your PR strength is as safe as any form of exercise when structured correctly and pursued with patience).
“I am better than I was.”
These would all be the thoughts of someone who would choose one of the far less $$$ options above.
Honestly, I have no special athletic DNA.
I am 6’ 3” and that does have some advantages in certain pursuits.
Outside of that I was never the strongest, the fastest, or possess any elite innate skill that others on my teams had.
For decades, even though I lifted very regularly I told myself I would never lift 1,000lbs between a squat, deadlift and bench press.
Last year I succeeded in doing this in 33 seconds.
By learning to be precise with how I create training programs for myself and others (I’ve learned from a handful of coaches who are renowned world wide) I confronted and tested one of my hugest limiting beliefs.
I honestly don’t know what my limits are.
None of us do.
I DO KNOW I too have settled, that I am far from being in the best shape or having the strongest health I am capable of possessing.
More on this to come as put myself through and I launch my challenge.
If you too are ready to have a real, honest conversion about your potential then message me.

I CARE ABOUT HOW OTHERS THINK ABOUT ME
“I Don’t Care” Is one of the easiest phrases that expose those who are novice at BEing & mindset work.
It is a component of personal health, mental, fat loss, you name it that seldom is discussed.
Run from any coach or guru preaching not to care what others think.
Why?
Firstly, we all want and even crave that most dreaded or four-letter words… LOVE.
Those attempting to be “tough” and dismiss love are doing so out of pain, it is a learned protective response from feeling unsafe.
When we are seriously hurt, generally early in life, and left feeling unloved, many will create this strategy out of the need to survive environments that they are powerless in.
Been there, did that, for decades.
While it works temporarily, this strategy leads to being the closed off person in a relationship, then you’re left confused once you end up having to face this tendency in therapy as your relationships are crumbling, or worse, you’re always finding yourself unable to feel attached to anyone to form any serious type of relationship.
Secondly, at the precise moment “I Don’t Care About _______” appears, you have proven you DO care about that thing or person.
If you truly didn’t give a s**t it wouldn’t be on your mind, at all.
You wouldn’t be aware of it.
Negating something you’re aware of leads to unneeded internal struggle and mental & emotional load.
It’s better to determine your real emotions & thoughts about ____________ and work on those.
There is still more going on here but you get the point, what matters most is what we are going to do about it.
Here’s the strategy that helps me the most.
I want and need feedback from people closest to me, TRUSTED individuals, that is the key word here.
It’s essential as we can compare what we are feeling and thinking about ourselves to what these trusted people are seeing & feeling.
These are two points combined with the all important “results,” the outcomes from how we are BEing, that act as our compass forward.
While it may be tempting to try and make progress alone, realize that this is the telltale sign that ego is influencing how you are feeling and thinking.
Yes, it IS uncomfortable to confide in others and trust them, especially when we have to be vulnerable, but from personal experience I learned the hard way that trying to suppress thoughts and feelings only amplifies them, and gives ego fuel to manipulate and distort how we perceive reality and thus act.
I can’t stress enough how crucial this is, and that it took me 20+ years of different therapies to accept this truth.
This is why I give my VIP clients my cell number and permission to reach out to me 24/7, whether it is to celebrate wins or process obstacles that otherwise would fester and derail their efforts.
You’d be amazed at how the simple act of leaving a message begins to course correct our struggles.

Pro Tip: Remove Good/Bad labels Around Food
Thinking of foods in terms of Good/ Bad creates a lot of problems leading to over-eating, or worse binge eating.
I’ll be covering this in a series up upcoming posts.
For now the key is to remove the guilt and shame around eating.
The best source for this comes from a company called Precision Nutrition that I have studied and use with clients.
They arrange foods as follows:
1. Eat More
2. Eat Some
3. Eat Less
Eat more = power food as I call it, these meet the majority of our body’s needs for energy and repair.
Eat some = foods that aren’t as efficient, not optimal protein to calorie ratio (P:E), as well as not as high in other nutrients overall.
Eat Less = pseudo processed foods land here, the more they’ve been changed the less nutrition we get from them, and the more we overeat.
A salad for me personally offers little satiation, as I finish it I’m still hungry regardless of the volume.
Overall this meal would fall between the eat some/ eat less category.
Salad dressing resides in the eat less tier, there’s zero nutrition here (meaning no protein nor vitamins/ minerals), only empty calories coming from fat, and from vegetable oils which can cause other issues in the body.
Same for croutons, providing fat and carbs with no other nutrients.
Parmesan cheese for me falls into the eat some category, high in fat (which for this meal isn’t a problem as I’m not included any carbs that elevate blood sugars) some protein, for me personally will increase congestion in my sinuses later.
Annoying somewhat, especially when training.
Chicken breast is awesome, one of the highest protein /energy foods possible, more protein also keeps hunger in check.
Lettuce sucks, subjectively speaking.
A few pieces on a lettuce wrap burger I find optimal, this much however is tedious to eat with low nutrient value in the end.
Overall?
This was a great option for me doing more than I planned this morning and needing to eat asap for peak energy for my business, parenting and training later.
A normal order has: My order:
710 calories ~375 calories
48g protein. 48g protein
34g carbs. 5g carbs
40g fat. 17g fat
As you can see a few simple modifications turned an eat less meal into an something I could eat fairly regularly.
These are the type of solutions that are sustainable, ones I’m using with myself and the personalized programs I build for clients.

CHRISTMAS CONSPIRACY
Prepare yourself then read on.
I just learned this yesterday.
Growing up, I believed, without question, that some insane wealthy British aristocrat took it upon himself to besiege a woman with endless odd gifts lasting 12 days in total.
When you do the math there are 364 presents within the 12 days of Christmas…
The song however was written in a cumulative style, hence revisiting the previous days mentioned.
Thus, some argue the correct interpretation is each gift was given only once, totaling a measly 78 presents.
What say you…?
364 or 78?
Why do you think some people can eat sugar in moderation while others will overeat, or even binge eat if they have it?
If you don’t celebrate your success you create less success.
(July 22nd, 2023)
My now 4-5 year BJJ journey has turned into the habit that now is responsible for the most personal change and growth I am experiencing on a daily basis.
It’s lead me to confront and have to make choices about my physical, mental and emotional habits, and whether I choose to live reactively or grow consciously.
It’s made me become fully aware of how unrelenting critical my ego has been, particularly telling me my progress in this art has been far too slow and I should give up.
I would often regret not beginning this art at an earlier age.
I was first enamored with its potential watching Royce Gracie dominate the early UFC’s against.
I was always afraid to start though due to my herniated L2 disc that occurred when I was 17 lifting weights improperly in my HS gym for football.
Looking back now I am sure I would’ve seriously destroyed my back had I started BJJ when younger, given my disposition and where the Knowledge base was.
I’m grateful to all my teachers I’ve had thus far.
Robb Wolf taught my first class, I wouldn’t have gone if not for him.
I have felt I owe my teacher Darien Cobon an apology for not acknowledging his efforts and patience earlier this year.
Grateful for his dedication, leadership and bringing Rickson Gracie Zero Point Jiujitsu into my life 💪🏻🤙🏻
The habits that make us tired & fat are FAR more expensive than the habits that make us healthy 💪🏻🤙🏻
