Perfectly aligning milled prosthesis access channels with all MUA axes is often challenging, and divergences are common despite every dental professional’s best efforts. Since conical screws center themselves in the prosthesis access channels, divergences can cause pressure buildup when these screws are screwed into the MUA. If the screw is weaker, it may bend and fracture; if the prosthesis is weaker, it may break more easily.
