Bob is excited about Fort Crailo’s Trade Days coming soon. Come see the display at our library.

Our Trade Days event is coming up in just a few weeks on September 21 & 22! As the excitement builds, we want to highlight some of the amazing performers and historic interpreters who will be featured at this free two day event.

First up is award winning storyteller April Armstrong! April weaves melodies and words for a refreshing and compelling style of storytelling. Her story programs are fun and interactive. She tells multi-cultural folktales, including African-American and Latino stories. April's stories delight, inform and inspire audiences of all ages.

April is the recipient of the National Storytellers Networks 2020 J.J. Reneaux Emerging Artist Award for Storytelling as well as the 2015 Bronx BRIO Award for Storytelling. Her cd has won a Parents Choice Award - Silver.

Library cards are a school supply September is Library Card Sign-up month! Get your child their own (free!) library card if they are 5 years old and up. Make sure your own library account is up to date so you can keep borrowing, both online and in person.

The next Rensselaer County is scheduled for next month in Schodack. This is an opportunity for county residents to get their dogs and cats vaccinated for rabies.
The county clinic on October 26 will be the last one for 2024, with more to come next year. Helping to protect health, safety and quality of life.

Teen game day. Summer Reading ends this Saturday, but there’s still time before school starts to grab some books- teacher recommendations, assignments or fun reads. We also have ebooks, audio downloads and digital magazines. Check us out.

Whether you love fantasy or just think dragons are cool, here's an assortment of books featuring everyone's favorite fire-breathing beast.
