The Fairfax Board of Supervisors has added a second public hearing on the redevelopment of Lake Anne Village Center. Tomorrow's 4 p.m. hearing will focus on the business aspects of the public-private partnership (purchase and sale agreement, fees). We are very pleased to have gotten unanimous approval from the county Planning Commission last night for our Lake Anne Redevelopment Plan! Now it’s on to the Board of Supervisors for a public hearing at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 27.

Our work toward a renewed Lake Anne Village Center continues. The Fairfax County Planning Commission will resume its consideration of the Lake Anne Redevelopment Plan next week at its 8:15 p.m. meeting on Thursday, Jan. 22.

Lake Anne Village Center Lake Anne in Reston, Virginia, is a national treasure renowned for its visionary planning and design.

There are more than a dozen public parks and plazas planned for the new Lake Anne—about 7.5 acres total. This is the Northeast Pedestrian Plaza along Baron Cameron Avenue designed to feature 10-foot walkways and public art.
