Topic: HOPE🌱

We are proud to present the first write-up for the first session of our weekly Write-Ups. We are however sorry that we are posting it past its deadline. This is the exams period and so it's been challenging but we are grateful for the Team 1 for concluding their work.😊

We present to you the first write up where our members practice both their writing skills and leadership as they occupied different roles in realizing the piece. We implore you all to read and leave your comments on what you think.🤗

Feel free to disagree if you must. We are all in the process of learning and to do so, you must know where you are at the moment before you can take in any new knowledge.✨

Nervousness can sometimes make us babble and belabor on points which we don't need to. As a growing speaker, it is important to isolate your main message and structure your message around it. This is the reason why it's important for you to develop a solid speech writing skills. So as to produce a speech that is clear and hits the mark.

Never think you are too big to pen down your ideas for a speech. What is sure is, your best speech will come from your most prepared and practiced write ups. You can't get around that.

In that light STEx is Launching the iSTEx Weekly Write-Ups. To help build the write up skills of it's members.

Being able to organize your thoughts and message on a piece of paper is the first step toward becoming a great speaker.

The fear of speaking in front of a group can be so overwhelming that we become paralyzed. Our intellect comes to a halt. If you have these fears, you may experience trembling hands, speaking too quickly, a racing heart, and even panic attacks. Practice is the key to overcoming them. To improve, these muscles, like any other muscle, must be flexed on a regular basis. There is no hack to it.

Consistency and practice are essential.
That is the purpose of the STEx community. We present you with a family in which you may develop your expertise. And you'll be reborn as a more effective speaker and leader.

The power of pause is irrefutable in delivering any speech. Gaining the technique of applying the right pause, at the right time can take your speeches or talks to a whole other level.

This overflows into your social life, ever had that story you wanted to share with your friends but just felt like you couldn't do the story justice is you were to narrate it. By building your public speaking skills you not only become an inspirational leader and speaker, but a better communicator in all social gatherings.

Life in itself is a rollercoaster of challenges😵‍💫. A constant pendulum swinging between extreme and short live highs🥳, steady mediocre experiences 😑to painful lows.😞
No matter how many many challenges we seem to cross, life just looks for the next thing to throw at us. So much so that some stop striving for the top and decide to settle for a mediocre existence in attempt to escape the turmoils of top. Albeit there are some who succeed to overcome these challenges💪 and move to the next best thing. These persons are at time just brushed off as being gifted, lucky or having some extra help that the others can't seem to have. These kind of thoughts water down the enormous efforts these persons have put to become their best selves.

God in his infinite wisdom create man to live in a community👬. Giving us our own unique strengths and weaknesses.✨

In this light, STEx desires to create a community whereas we can narrate our different experiences, challenges and turmoils that we have faced this 2021🎭.

We have all faced different experiences/challenges and learnt different lessons. In some areas we were strong while in others we were and may still be struggling.

STEx provides us with this platform where we can share these experiences with the world. In attempt to help that person out there who might face the same issues you had in 2022. To equip them with knowledge and lessons that may help them pull through those challenges a little better than you did.

Like how parents toil to ensure we have a better future, let us share our failures, successes and lesson with others so that they don't enter into these challenges without any clue on how to survive them.
