It's not a morning on the farm until your goat scares you almost to death. I was just putting out our brand new employee of the week sign, and I walked into the barn and Walter was death napping.

Death napping is this fun thing goats do where they splay themselves to look very unalive. I started screaming, he got up and looked at me like, what? And now he's eating hay.

So Walter is still kicking, still the employee of the week, and we have a ton of goodies for sale until 6 today. Lots of eggs, bread, green beans, cookies, jam, and probably not a lot of sanity.

Open today until 6! We have green beans just picked from the garden this morning, plenty of eggs, cookies and jam. ❤️

Farm stand is open today! We'll probably be around fixing fencing since our pigs are practicing their escape artistry this week.

Come support your local family farm, our animals are costing us a fortune lately. 😂

Our kitchen smells so magical on farmstand mornings! It's so tempting to eat all of these with my morning coffee, but I probably won't, and there will probably be some waiting for you at the farmstand. Probably.

I was so excited to see this beautiful little flower growing in our raised bed today, then the 2 year old plucked each and every petal off 3 seconds after I took this picture. She also ate an entire Tiger Lily the other day, apparently an edible plant, who knew?

Our farm stand is open until 6 today. We have cookies, bread, strawberry jam, and garden peas.

We're kicking off birthday week! Not only is it America's birthday, but it's also our youngest daughter's and our oldest daughter's birthday this week! So we have a special cookie, birthday cake flavored and full of patriotic sprinkles and white chocolate!

So please come buy some cookies, because we're going to be having way too much cake this week and definitely don't need any leftover cookies in our house. 🎉

Updates for today:
Strawberries are available! We're baking more cookies (we sold out again) and our pig should be on the mend. PHEW!

Lots of exciting new goodies today!

Lemon sugar cookies made with hand squeezed lemon juice and zest and rolled in a lemon zested sugar. I was *definitely* not thinking about taking a package back in the house because they're my new favorite and we haven't had time for breakfast yet.

Homemade strawberry jam. Our jam is made with only 2 ingredients, our handpicked strawberries from our garden and a lot of sugar!

Peas, picked straight from the garden this morning!

No updates on our sick piggy yet, the vet is coming out this afternoon, praying for our little guy. ❤️

Working on opening the farmstand for the day, but we found a sick piggy this morning. Say a prayer for our boar Brutus, he seems to have a bad case of pneumonia (this rain has been rough on livestock this year) we're waiting on the vet and hoping he pulls through.

We made a test batch of new cookies today, hello summer! Should we come up with a fun name for these lemon sugar cookies? 🍋💛

It's strawberry season. 🍓🍓 We'll be selling quarts of strawberries today at the farmstand! Get here early before we sell out, we open at 8 AM

June is almost over (seriously!?) so soon the rhubarb cookies will be gone and we'll be debuting some new flavors! If you're in the brown butter rhubarb cookie fan club get them while they're here, and if you have yet to try them head on over! I think they taste like pie! 🍪❤️

If you ask our toddlers they would say it's the best time of the year in the garden, or they would probably not say anything because they have a mouth full of strawberries. 😂

Living out of laundry baskets and we definitely have a cluttered kitchen here this summer. 😅

It kind of seems like we're in the land of surprise rain storms these last couple weeks, we're hoping today is a little nicer! Our cookie lineup today are brown butter rhubarb, Snickerdoodle, and chocolate chip! We're open until 6! 🍪❤️
