Did you know we had over 275 volunteers who were a part of making VBS the BEST WEEK EVER!?

Because of the generosity of our church family to give of their time and talents, we shared the gospel with hundreds of kids and saw 75 of them give their life to Christ. Talk about an eternal impact!!!

We want to say a BIG thank you to anyone who was involved in our biggest VBS yet! From our group leaders, to the production and worship team, to those who helped set up and tear down, and so many more we couldn't have done it without you! THANK YOU!❤️

Last Sunday, was the launch of our new ministry, The Heights International!🌎

This weekly gathering is made up of a diverse family of friends from various countries coming together from different corners of the globe to connect and support one another as they pursue Christ. We are so excited about this opportunity in our church to provide a place for people from all around the world to find community and experience the gospel.

And you have a part to play too! We invite you to pray over this ministry and that the Lord would use it to reach the international community around us who are looking for a church family!

Two weeks ago we hosted guest speaker and Marriage Pastor at Harris Creek Baptist Church in Waco, Scott Kedersha, for Marriage Night! During this intentional time of equipping and encouragement, we discussed what it looks like for your marriage to be a winning team, how to avoid barriers to oneness, and more!

To all the moms who make this day so special to celebrate – Happy Mother's Day! We are abundantly thankful for the treasured role you play in the lives of those around you and within our church family.

We hope you are reminded today that the truth of the gospel covers every moment of motherhood. And pray that you rest in the fact that you don't have to have everything together because He holds all things together!

“We are grateful for our Heights church family that comes alongside us as we raise up and disciple our children in the Lord. Hannah prayed to God, “I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the Lord.” We echo that prayer for each one of our four kids and are grateful we get to stand in front of our church family and publicly commit to teaching them to love Jesus and love others just as He did.” – Seth and Julie Hawkins

This Spring, we had over 20 families walk through the process of Parent Dedication! We are so blessed to walk alongside young families like these as they raise their children to know the amazing love of Jesus. What a gift!

And you get to be a part of it too! We encourage you to take a moment right now and pray a prayer of strength, love, and protection over the parents and children of these families🤍

“XA24 was the best one yet! God moved in each of our small groups and did more than we could ever share here! What we can share is 3 students said “yes” to Jesus, 6 students were baptized Sunday morning, and 14 students are exploring a call to ministry! We are so grateful for Portraits Music and Chris DuPree leading us so powerfully this weekend!”

What if God wants to use the doubt you are experiencing to actually draw you closer to Him instead of further away?

Doubt is a normal part of the Christian life, and believe it or not, it’s not a bad thing. As we wrestle with doubt, we have the opportunity to boldly bring our pain and questions to the feet of Jesus while exercising trust.

And guess what, God wants us to trust Him more than He wants us to have certainty or clarity.

Trust is affectionate. It is emotional. It creates intimacy and requires surrender. Choosing trust is becoming vulnerable. And that is exactly what a relational God desires.

Where can you press into the Lord this week, even in the midst of your doubts? What would it look like to cling to God’s promises and trust that He will bring everything to completion in His perfect timing?

"Thankful" doesn't even scratch the surface of how we feel about gathering on Sundays! Join us tomorrow as we enter into His courts & bless His name! 🙌 🤩

How do you respond to the disappointment of this world?

This Sunday, we learned about the importance of clinging to the promises of God in the midst of disappointment. We know that because of the curse of sin, there is disappointment to be experienced around every corner. However, we also know that in every disappointment, there is an opportunity for Christ to enter in and be our true and living hope. We just have to cling to Him.

And that’s where Breath Prayers come in.

Breath Prayers are a way of entering into a rhythm of truth, just as constant and natural as your own breathing. Our hope is that as you slow down and intertwine the two, you will hear the still small voice of the Lord gently calling you back to what is true – that we are citizens of another kingdom, not a world full of disappointment.

Nothing beats gathering to worship alongside our church family...

it makes even losing an hour of sleep worth it! 😉
