Why does HATS encourage dads and daughters to adventure together? 🛶

Because a strong fatherly bond is key to helping a young woman grow to her fullest potential. And we love being part of that! 💙

Creating opportunities for bonding is a high priority at HATS. So, some of the most powerful (and FUN) moments on our camp outs are when dads and sons (or dads and daughters, in this case) give each other 100% of their attention. 😎

The HATS Wilderness Leadership Academy (WLA) Program is built on our belief that leaders are not born, they are made.

WLA provides an excellent curriculum and practical experience for building and developing exceptional leadership skills. These leadership behaviors and traits will translate well to activities inside and outside of the HATS community.

Gaining the Wilderness Leadership Certification will be an outstanding addition to your college application resumes. In WLA, you will learn the fundamentals of leadership, while putting them into practice through public speaking, leading group activities, and taking on higher level of leadership responsibilities during HATS adventures.

It's BACK! 🙌 Dad Joke Friday: Summer Edition ☀️😎☀️

🌊What did the ocean say to the beach? Nothing. It just waved.
🏝️Why aren’t lobsters generous? Because they’re shellfish
🦜Where do birds stay when they go on vacation? Someplace cheep.
🍦Did you hear about the ice cream truck accident? It crashed on a rocky road.

We LOVE hearing stories from this summer's Colorado treks! Can't wait to compile all the photos and listen in on all the adventures that were had!

You may have noticed that some HATS activities can be a bit intense--occasionally, some campers may be hesitant to participate.

Guess what? That is OK!

While we encourage all campers to try, participants are free to choose their engagement level. ☑️ We refer to this as CHALLENGE BY CHOICE.

This approach is a bedrock of HATS culture. 🦅🦅

That's an easy one for us. We'd always rather be camping and off to an adventure. It's how we roll at HATS!

We need experienced HATS mentors to help introduce HATS to our new families!
