Wow the community really showed up! This was just the FIRST round of drop offs and it was almost 900 pounds. πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ

I’m total after all drop offs we dropped off 1,930 pounds of foods which equals to 1600 meals!!!

Thank you to all the people who brought canned foods. We are grateful to help those in need. ❀️πŸ₯«

This position is dedicated to promoting a healthy life style by providing members with a safe, motivating and informative environment. Front desk employees are to maintain a positive member experience for increased member retention. Consistently look for opportunities to gain new members. You are required to maintain a professional demeanor, be welcoming, helpful, and accountable.

Front Desk Duties and Responsibilities

-Greet everyone who comes in, in a friendly manner.
-Dependable and punctual
-Exhibit enthusiasm, positive, and cooperative environment
-Check in members and verify memberships
-Provide informative tours for prospects
-Answer all incoming inquiries and obtain appropriate information to direct/transfer calls or take messages
-Register guests, prospects, and collect guest fees
-Operate the Point of Sale system and perform all transactions
-Generate sales through walk-ins, telephone inquiries, outreach, and promotions
-Fill out all paperwork completely in accordance with proper procedures and policies
-Handle members accounts and billing information
-Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas at all times
-Complete daily shift cleaning and maintenance
-Keep all supplies (sanitizing wipes, towels, other cleaning, vending, etc) fully stocked.
-Attend and actively participate in all employee meetings
-Present a professional, approachable and friendly appearance by dressing in proper attire abiding to clubs guidelines
-Stay current on certifications and trainings that are applicable to the club
-Promote and participate in the clubs functions and promotions, not outside coaching.
-Notify management of required building or equipment maintenance needs immediately
-Abide by all the club rules and procedures as outlined in the Employee Manual
-Knowledgeable about all programs and activities offered by the gym
-Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:
-While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for up to 8 hours and must talk and hear. The employee occasionally sits, walks, kneels, and reaches with hands and arms.
-Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 45lbs

Required Qualifications:
-Excellent sales, communication, and customer service skills
-Current CPR and AED certified and Food Handler’s Card
-Understanding of health club operations
-Basic math skills, ability to work under pressure, and multitask

Desired Qualifications:
Sales and promotional aptitude
Ability to help lead club programs
Good organizational skills
Must be able to work days, evenings, and weekends as necessary.

We love Whole 30 around these parts! Why? You're eating real food, meaning meals with less ingredients, more whole foods and nothing processed.

Here is a great recipe to try from dineanddish.net

Avocado Sweet Potato Hash

Ingredients
1 Ripe California Avocado peeled, seed removed and diced
2 teaspoons coconut oil divided
1 medium sweet potato peeled and spiralized or thinly sliced
1 zucchini sliced thin or spiralized
2 cloves garlic minced
2 eggs
Salt pepper and hot sauce to taste

Instructions

Preheat 1 teaspoon of coconut oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add garlic, sweet potato and zucchini. Stir and cook for 5-7 minutes or until vegetables are tender. (The thinner the veggies, the faster they'll cook - so keep a close eye on it!)
Push vegetables over to the side of the skillet, add the additional teaspoon of coconut oil. Once the oil is heated, add 2 eggs and scramble.
Once the eggs are scrambled, stir together with the cooked vegetables.
Top with diced California Avocados, salt, pepper and hot sauce.
Serves 2.

As the weather starts to warm up, here are some tips to transition from running on your treadmill to running outside! πŸ”†

1. Start slow. When running outside there many different variables compare to running on the treadmill. Weather, terrain and elevation changes are just a few. To make this transition easier set your treadmill on a 2 or 3 incline to better simulate running outdoors.

2. Make sure you have your water with you. No stopping to grab a quick bottle out of the fridge anymore. A small runners waist pack with a couple water bottle holders works great for this.

3. Plan your route in advance. Use your favorite mapping software like google maps to plan your route for the distance you want to run. Don't forget to pay attention to the elevation changes along the way.

4. Have Fun! Enjoy the change to run outdoors. Take in the smell of the grass and sound of the birds. Find fun places to run in your area whether its on a mountain trail or along the water. Don't be so focused on getting from point A to B that you forget to take in the beauty of your surroundings.
