The AllerVie Health leadership team and some of our wonderful providers had the pleasure of attending the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology conference in Boston this weekend. We’re proud of our providers and team members who served as guest speakers at the ACAAI conference!

From connecting with residents, fellows in training, and established allergists at the Doctors Job Fair to networking with industry partners at our exhibitor booth on the show floor, it was an energizing experience showcasing what distinguishes AllerVie from other companies. A highlight of the weekend was our networking event at Puttshack, where we enjoyed spending time with some of our current AllerVie providers and potential hires while playing a few rounds of mini-golf together.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by—we’re excited about the future ahead! We'll see you again at AAAAI in San Diego next year!

By managing allergies and taking the right precautions, your family can enjoy things like Friday night lights or just maintaining an active lifestyle. Imagine having a food allergy, where your immune system overreacts to what should be a harmless food protein. This overreaction can lead to severe reactions, including life-threatening anaphylaxis. As a result, some children and their families may avoid trick-or-treating to reduce the risk of allergen exposure. The Teal Pumpkin Project, led by FARE (Food Allergy Research & Education), is raising awareness and providing a safer way for kids with food allergies to participate in Halloween.
By offering non-food treats, you can help more children participate in the festivities without fear, promoting an inclusive and safe environment for everyone. To learn more about the Teal Pumpkin Project and how to participate, visit https://loom.ly/-gfFP88

Penicillins are widely used antibiotics that have important roles in treating bacterial infections. Many patients are self-diagnosed with penicillin allergy in childhood, where a viral infection may be the cause of a rash rather than a drug reaction. Only less than 1% of the population is truly allergic, while an estimated 10% claim to be.
Penicillins are a safe and effective antibiotic treatment option for many infections, so it’s important to find out if you are truly allergic to penicillin. On National Penicillin Allergy Day, we raise awareness about the impact of misdiagnosing penicillin allergies. Learn more about how this affects health, raises unnecessary healthcare costs, and the benefits of getting tested. https://loom.ly/uiHg0P0

Chase Nichols is all about patient advocacy. She knows that the world of clinic research can be scary and confusing and believes it's her responsibility to use her knowledge to help patients navigate through the scary parts and achieve their version of health, happiness, and longevity.
In her role as clinical research coordinator, she arranges and conducts clinical research visits. She has worked with Dr. Kirshenbaum since 2001 and performs clinical and study procedures per protocol, guidelines, regulations, and SOPs. She works alongside our regulatory team and maintains all study documents to ensure that the clinical research is accurate and follows protocol.
Chase enjoys being part of something great, which is why she loves clinical research; advancing the future of allergy and asthma care. She says one of the unique parts about working with Allervie is being part of a network of clinics and research sites across the country and working with all the different AllerVie families within the network.
Outside of work, Chase is an avid runner. She has participated in countless 5—and 10-k races and the Chicago Marathon and the Baltimore Half-Marathon. Another amazing fact about Chase is that she is a brain aneurysm survivor! September is Brain Aneurysm Awareness Month, and we want to highlight her strength in recovery and her work to raise awareness of this cause.
