Rainy day when you can't garden or farm ...
This was next on the to do list I'll update if I ever finish it π
It's that time of year again ! Please for the love of Christ spay and neuter your pets! Soooooo many unwanted animals are already strays in shelters or are a nuisance problem for someone else!
Let's talk jellies and jams
What's your favorites?
In our house it's blackberries, strawberry rubar, and dandelion
It's after Easter so I just felt the need to say... we spent a hour looking for a abandoned goose ... It's sick and has lots of issues ..
PLEASE do NOT drop animals! f you can't afford them, handle the upkeep, if they get sick... no matter what please reach out to someone experienced with what ever breed it is!
Post anonymously if you wish but please DO NOT drop them!
I promise you someone will take in or help! In these local farm pages.
Also when looking for a home please make sure you check the people out! Some people shouldn't own a pet rock. Don't be afraid to ask for reference. Or even ask for picture proof of coops/shelter.
Every bird needs a flock, dietary needs can be expensive . Coops are ridiculous expensive.
There isn't vets no where close to us that sees them when they're sick. Antibiotics is expensive and scary when you don't know what your doing. Please reach out!
βIf it makes you happy, it doesnβt have to make sense to others.β
This is something I am constantly trying to reconcile within myself. οΏΌ

Progress of removing dead trees and ALOT of honey suckle. Behind all the mess is a beautiful mulberry tree! How do I kill the rest of the honey suckle with our killing the tree? The stocks are about 6 inches in diameter. Definitely can't pull it out by the roots. We cut to the ground and it's already trying to come back .

Lesson learned π¦
Sharing my frens this year with the birds I suppose π next year I'll hang shinny twirly things next year before I put our ferns out that way they'll find somewhere more convenient to nest. Until next year I'll enjoy keeping a eye on this baby finch.
Dry hatch! Tell em all you know ! Trying it the first time today
Molt/mΕlt/
verb
(Fluff & feathers defines molting.)
shed of old feathers, hair, or skin, or an old shell, to make way for a new growth.
"Oh lord something got murdered there is feathers every where...(frantically counts the free range birds) .. sheww they're just molting. "
Piper joined us a few weeks ago. Even though she's not a silkie or cochin she's here to stay. She loves cuddles and naps on mommas lap
