Fight Tonight Knives was honored to assist with the 2024 Hammer In at Join or Dies Knives. It is a true delight to fellowship and continue to learn from legends of the custom knife and blade world. Greg Campbell opened the hammer in with a great San Mai build, followed by Brent Stubblefield for an amazing Hunter forge demo. Dave Baker delighted us all with his outstanding swords and deep knowledge of their uses, leaving Ben Abbott to close the hammer in. His chopper build was sensational and a delighted customer was able to win it during the iron in the hat raffle. Hope to see you all next year at the Hammer In.

Blade Details: Hand forged 5160 HC spring steel. Steel harvested from a pick-up truck leaf spring pack. Forge textured flats, traditional clever bevels. Heat treated for great hardness and torch tempered for toughness. Traditional clever profile to make downward chopping a pleasure. OAL 13.5 in, blade length 7.5 in, Width sloping from 3 in down to 2.5 in, thickness .06 in, 1.5 pound approx. weight. Performs like a dream.
Handle Details: Patagonia Rosewood set on top of black liners. Brass pins and a custom mosaic pin secure the pommel section. Hand sanded for a fine finish and showing the character of the wood.
Purpose: Kitchen or camp site clever. Will perform great on chicken, turkey, goat/lamb and wild game. Will also chop and mince vegetables with ease. Brisket chopping will be an ease with this clever.

12 in OAL, tapered tang, upcylced 5160 steel (this spring steel was an F250 leaf spring in its former life). Forge texture with brushed satin finish bevels, 5000 grit final edge. Will shave hair, but edge geometry set to support chopping. Bones and flesh will not stand a chance!!!

Rosewood handle, brass corbys, blue g10 liner, black G10 center pin. Hand sanded to 5000 grit for an amazing feel, scales worked to provide confident purchase in the working hand.

This one is spoken for, but Shawn will make more of these, he had alot of fun making this clever.

This blade was forged live in front of an audience two weeks ago in Fredericksburg VA.

The details of the build are as follows: hand hammer forged tool steel from a large file. All handmade with freehand grinds. Custom sawback that is also decorative and sheds some weight. OAL approx 20 inch.

Exposed pommel for back hand jabs in battle. Curve built into the blade to incease the reap in a swing on an enemy combatant. Hollow ground bevels leading to a scandy ground edge for toughness in battle.

Handle is padauk and black G10, brass and white liners between them. All on top of gray G10 liner. Mosaic pins affix the handles, finished in a matte finish that provides grip. Handle can be choked up upon or support gripped, hand and half design. Easier to control in battle.

Hand tooled and stitched leather scabbard. Made in a traditonal manner for proper viking style hang from a belt. Comes with carry straps to affix to a belt.
