Fleet Doc Richmond
Fleet Doc is a small business that started in Lexington with our first location in March, 2014. We strive to offer the best customer service in town.
Since then, we have continued to grow into one of the areas most reputable shops. Fleet Doc works on most makes and models. We are a full service shop. Our Richmond location has a large showroom with plenty of seating if customers want to wait for their vehicles. However, we also don't mind to give customers rides to work or back home if you are more comfortable dropping the vehicle off. We have 6 racks, including an extended alignment rack for long vans and trucks.
Wishing all the incredible dads a very Happy Father’s Day this weekend! Your hard work, love, and support make a world of difference. Enjoy your well-deserved celebration.
⚠️Why is battery corrosion bad?⚠️
Battery corrosion on your car's battery is bad because it can mess up the electrical connections, making it hard for the engine to start and run well. Corrosion can also harm the battery terminals and cables, which can lead to more problems and even make the car not start at all. This damage can make you replace the battery more often and spend more money on repairs. If the corrosion gets really bad, the battery might leak acid, which is dangerous and can ruin the car's electrical parts. Regular cleaning can help avoid these problems and keep your car running smoothly.

Changing your serpentine belt is important because it plays a crucial role in powering several essential components of your vehicle, such as the alternator, power steering pump, air conditioning compressor, and sometimes the water pump. Over time, the belt can wear out, crack, or break, which can lead to the failure of these components and potentially cause your engine to overheat or your vehicle to become difficult to steer. Regularly changing the serpentine belt as part of your vehicle's maintenance schedule helps ensure these systems function properly and prevents unexpected breakdowns.

This is a common problem with Nissans, but why does this matter?
Finding metal shavings in a transmission pan is bad because it means parts inside the transmission are wearing down. These tiny metal pieces can damage other parts and cause the transmission to fail, leading to expensive repairs.

Talk about a smooth ride! Maybe a little TOO smooth 😅😅😅!
Your tires need tread! Tire tread is important because it helps your car grip the road. This makes driving safer, especially when it's wet or snowy. Tread channels water away, preventing your car from slipping. Worn-out tread means less grip, which can lead to accidents. So, check your tires regularly!

That’s a lot of cracks! Serpentine belts helps a car's engine run smoothly by connecting various parts like the alternator, water pump, and power steering. It spins them so they work together, powering important systems. If it breaks, the car might overheat or lose power steering, making it hard to control, and you don’t want that!
Do you see the bungee cord holding the strut assembly together 😬? Please, don’t do that. Not only should you have regular maintenance to avoid expensive repairs, but you also shouldn’t put bungee cords on your struts, so you can avoid expensive hospital 🏥 bills 😅.
