Fall is for planting!
JRA would like to thank Governor of Virginia, Terence R. McAuliffe for recognizing October 2014 as Fall is for Planting month! The cool air temperatures reduce water needs because the sun and heat are not stressing the plants. However, the soil stays warm, giving the plants a good environment to establish a healthy root system. They will emerge in the spring as stronger plants that are better able to handle the heat and drier conditions of summer.
