Kicking off our first “Teacher Tuesday” Miss Audrey! 💙 get to know our staff through a fun questionnaire ✨🫶🏼

How long have you been teaching and dancing ?
💙I've been dancing since I was 3 years old, so about 16 years total! This will be my first year teaching by myself, but I've been a teacher assistant for two years in the past.✨

What do you teach at CATs?
💙I teach tap, jazz, ballet, and lyrical✨

What made you love dance?
💙I remember being a little kid and loving dance just because of the sparkly costumes, but I eventually grew to love the feeling of being on stage and forgetting about everything else going on in life when I was performing. It really is a feeling that you don't get from anything else!✨

Fun fact about yourself?
💙I have three cats named Vivian, Jenson, and Cooper!✨

What inspires you to dance?
💙Now that I'm starting to teach, the people that inspire me the most are my dance teachers from my old studio. I admire how they were able to create such a great environment where we worked hard but also had a lot of fun and enjoyed what we were doing. I hope to accomplish the same thing in my classes!✨

What’s your favorite snack?
💙My favorite snack is hummus and pita chips.✨

What is your favorite style of dance?
💙My favorite styles of dance are jazz and lyrical, but I love them all!✨

Are you in school?
💙I am currently a sophomore at EKU studying psychology.✨

A piece of advice for the next generation of dancers.
💙Don't get too caught up in focusing on the dancers around you and the ones you see on social media. Everyone grows at a different pace, just work hard on your own skills and you'll do great!✨
