We are excited to announce our next project! Stage B Theatre Company will be producing a new musical, "Wheels Will Turn" book by Kelsey Fehlner and music and lyrics by Samuel Aaron Tolley. Stage B has produced various new works in the last few years in the Richmond area as well as in Chicago. We cannot wait for the Richmond community to witness this exciting and fulfilling journey!
After hearing the news that their former high school drama teacher, Hughes, is ill, Logan, Zach, Rose and Teddy, all old high school friends, along with Zach’s girlfriend Katie, make a trip from D.C. to L.A. over their spring break to visit him. Logan sees the trip as an adventure, and hopes to make amends with Zach, who has become a completely different person since high school. Zach simply hopes to get there as quickly as possible without any conflict erupting. Katie, who is clueless about Zach’s history with Logan, hopes that the trip will make her and Zach’s relationship more meaningful. Rose tries to keep everything steady without worrying about her own problems, and Teddy, who follows the beat of a different drummer, is seemingly along for the ride. After a lot of traveling, reminiscing, and fierce arguing, a sudden turn in the road puts things in perspective for them. They decide to keep traveling. As they go on, their trip becomes a lesson. Even if they don’t know exactly what direction they’re going in, at least the wheels are turning.
An Indiegogo page to fund the production and casting for the production will be announced soon.
