Jefferson Shreve is the Republican nominee for Indiana’s 6th Congressional District, a place he’s called home for most of his life. Shreve is a proven leader with decades of business and civic experience. From age 12, he worked as a paperboy, going door to door to deliver newspapers and collect subscriptions. These basic skills would later serve him well as he grew his business helping him connect with those he served.

Jefferson attended Indiana University and received his MBA in agribusiness from Purdue University. It was during a summer internship that he discovered his interest in real estate, which led Jefferson to start his first business as a recent college graduate. Over the next 30 years, Shreve grew Storage Express into the largest self-storage company headquartered in Indiana, encompassing more than 125 storage facilities across six states. Storage Express has 26 locations in Indiana’s 6th District, including 4 locations in Wayne County. In 2022, Shreve sold the last portion of Storage Express to the S&P 500 company Extra Space Storage, where he now serves on the board of directors, while continuing to own Storage Express Construction.

A proud Hoosier, Shreve served from 2011-16 on the board and as the National Chairman of the Indiana University Alumni Association and is currently an Executive Dean’s board member of IU’s College of Arts and Sciences and serves on the IUPUI Chancellor’s Board. He also serves on the board and executive committee of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce.

The Wayne County Republican Party has announced a town convention scheduled for Tuesday, August 13th at 6:30 pm. The event will be held at the Hagerstown/Jefferson Township Fire Department, located at 151 N. Plum St. All registered Republicans in Hagerstown are encouraged to attend and participate in the voting process.

The primary goal of the convention is to nominate three Republican candidates for the town council seats for the upcoming November election. The five candidates vying for these positions are Chris Blaase, Allan Bullock, Bradley Clark, Dillon Pitcher, and Leslie Rogers.

County Chairman Gary Saunders has named Hagerstown resident Jeff Huffine as the convention chairman.

The members of the Wayne County Republican Party will never allow the sacrifice of Officer Seara Burton be forgotten. Please keep her family, friends, and fellow officers in prayer.

The Fall campaign kicked off today with the Hagerstown Jubilee Days Parade. We are excited about the November Election!
