~ Espresso Virgineola ~

Bare-Knuckle Espresso, Bermuda-style ginger beer, and freshly cut navel orange zest ribbons garnished with a house-made ginger & citrus cookie (16 or 24 ounces iced)

In researching the interesting history of Bermuda, we learned that it was an uninhabited island devoid of any indigenous population when the British landed there in 1612 and established the first settlement. The island was basically an extension of the Jamestown settlement just down the road from us here in Richmond since that had been established just five years earlier. The original name for the settlement on what is now called Bermuda was Virgineola. So, the historic connection to Bermuda in our area is quite unique, intriguing, and largely unknown!
