Our Mission is to provide an education in an authentic living environment for real-world experiences, using mentorship, work, savings, and skill courses designed to enhance personal and social responsibility. The program's success is due to the financial literacy course measured through participants' monetary growth. Most students leave this program with over $4-13k savings in their 15-month stay to stabilize their Fresh Start.

Even though I have to deal with a caved-in ceiling, I got the Hostas planted at Fresh Start Housing, LLC. My neighbor gave everyone on the street some hosta plants, and they made a beautiful display. I also got to spend some time with Boury Moussa Dieme, enjoying the Saturday!

I genuinely love visiting new homeless shelters, especially ones that are still being developed. Yesterday's visit to the soon-to-be new facility in Connersville was an exhilarating experience, offering a glimpse into the promising future of The Shelter, Inc., which is intended for displaced individuals. I loved the swag, too!!!!!

Sharing: Cold temperatures are back. Tonight and Wednesday night are projected to be around 25 and 21 degrees, so the overnight warming center will open today and Wednesday at 6 pm. Thank you to all the volunteers who have signed up to help. WE NEED MORE VOLUNTEERS FOR WEDNESDAY. The van will pick people up from several stops starting at 6 pm: Morrison Reeves Library, McDonald's on East Main, and the BMV.
