We had a magical time in the bubble with dance parties, trust falls, repeat-after-me songs and lots of glitter!โจ We are incredibly thankful for our amazing volunteers and resilient kids for an amazing weekend!
Your grief is welcome here. ๐๐๏ธ
For 25 years, we've been empowering children whoโve lost a parent, sibling or guardian to grieve, heal and grow.
Weโve transformed the lives of well over 24,000 kids โ by giving them a safe space and community where they can bring their full selves.
Our campers also learn and develop healthy coping skills so they can grow and lead more fulfilling lives, outside of camp.

April's response is beautifully uncomplicated, slightly whimsical, and reminds us of a profound truth: the greatest gift is simply being together.

Our culture often dictates which losses are โworthyโ of grief. But what about the heartaches that go unnoticed? The end of a friendship, losing a job you loved, or saying goodbye to a place that felt like home.

Their memory lives on through our actions and love. โค๏ธ
โฅ๏ธ Grief is a deeply personal journey, but we donโt have to walk it alone. This is especially true for those experiencing stigmatized losses, like losing someone to overdose or su***de.
๐ Itโs easy to feel isolated or judged, but your pain is valid. Opening up to compassionate, non-judgmental friends and loved ones can provide much-needed support and comfort.
๐ Remember, thereโs no shame in expressing our pain or seeking help during difficult times, regardless of how society views our loss.
A motherโs love leaves an indelible mark. โฃ๏ธ
โฐThough time passes, the void remains. Prince Harryโs journey reminds us that grief has no expiration date, and honoring our lost loved ones is a lifelong act of love.

๐ซงWe have missed seeing you all in the bubble this July, but itโs all good because weโre gearing up for an exciting August!
โ๏ธWith 15 camps left in the 2024 season and 4 more this summer, thereโs plenty of time to join us in the fun. Let us know in the comments which camp youโre headed to!
Grief sucks โ especially in those moments when you werenโt expecting it and it shows up anyway. But it also keeps us connected to our loved ones whoโve already passed.
Tell us: How do you stay connected and honor the memory of your loved one(s)?
Do you have any routines or practices when grief shows up at an inconvenient time?
Weโll share ours in comments too!
๐ซฑ๐ผโ๐ซฒ๐ฝThe Big and Little Buddy pairings is what makes CZC truly special. Each young camper is matched with an adult mentor, forming a unique bond that guides them through the transformative weekend experience.
๐๐ฝDan and Reid exemplify the extraordinary connections forged at camp. It's heartwarming to see buddy pairs like them return year after year, nurturing their special relationship and growing together through shared adventures.
