We are so grateful for all of the deep soaking rain we have had over the past couple of days..but NOT on market day. So sorry but will not be at this morning’s market (July 13). Here’s a couple of bouquets which we were going to bring today. So sorry to miss it.
This weekend’s bouquets will have these colorful in starring roles. 9 am to noon. 2999 Darbytown Road.
Happy National BLUEBERRY Day!!! Yep….these healthy little gems are bursting forth with antioxidants and amazing flavor. I invited my dear friend over to pick berries a couple of weeks ago and of course we had blueberries for breakfast! More specifically ….these delicious Lemon Blueberry Dutchboys (I will post a link to the recipe in the comments). So yummy! And a great source of protein. I have been making them almost on a weekly basis! Enjoy yourself some today! You deserve them!!
Side yard has been bursting open with colors for a little while now. (purple bloom in the foreground in first pic) has added its tone to the and

is taking a week off for some r&r (and heat relief). No home floral deliveries this week and we WILL NOT be at on July 6. We will return on July 13.
We have been anxiously awaiting the first blooms on several garden friends. Watering on a daily basis during these past dry days. We had some measurable rain during the wee hours last night. Opened the back door this morning and I was no longer in Kansas. Bold, huge red Also first blooms on
An early morning garden inspection helped me better understand who the real heat loving plants are in my collection. First bloom of my and Blossom photo bombed
Coulda! Woulda! Shoulda! Look at the beautiful arrangement which you taken home with you today if only you braved the heatwave this morning.
You been there. There’s always next Saturday.
Yes indeedy! It was mighty hot out today but there were lots of cool moments like this one with and
Enough already with the gladioli! They have been getting all the spotlight despite being surrounded by these very fragrant and my personal favorite lily the vibrant “don’t you dare ignore me”
We have an abundance of dramatic purple and cheerful sherbet blooming just in time for your celebrations. DM me for the details.
Happy Heavenly Father’s Day to the one and only Joe Payton. He loved his family and his church. He loved a good joke and made everyone he met laugh. I miss you every day Daddy.
Another great day ! Can’t wait to sauté up these from to top tonight’s burgers!!
This week’s market will feature a colorful Watch Heather and I designed especially for YOU! Point to the stems you like the most and we will include them in your arrangement. We’ll be bringing the blooms tomorrow (Saturday) June 15 from 9 am to noon. Thanks to an abundance of lavender this year, we are taking orders for lavender bundles (fresh or dried) to be picked up or delivered. DM me for the deets!
Aaaahhhhhh…..this year’s are courtesy of Mr. Harvey (of Harvey Gardens). The first blooms have started to appear on the gourd vines. Gigantic leaves and blossoms will hopefully result in gigantic gourds. If you are not familiar with Harvey Gardens, they are a local husband and wife duo who I have befriended and swapped seeds with. Mr. Harvey grows gourds and his wife creates beautiful home objects (vases, bowls, lamps) with their gourds. The seeds of this year’s gourds in my garden were being cleaned out of a gigantic gourd that Mr. Harvey was working on during a plant sale last fall. He has given me some great tips on how to see the large gourds through their growth stage. Fingers crossed that I can see at least 2-3 of them to a successful harvest stage. Stay tuned!!
Gladioli season has officially started and I am so GLAD to welcome them back!! We have some new varieties this year for bouquets. These beauties usually do not require any accompanying flowers… just add water! Look for us on Saturday June 8 (9 am to noon)
Yesterday I showed you where this week’s blooms are growing. Here’s a look at what they have become. Can hardly wait to pull these bouquets out of these buckets and wrap them up for you to take home to enjoy in your favorite vase. See ya tomorrow…..Saturday, June 1st 9-noon
It’s almost that time again. Just two more days until we will be serving up weekly bouquets Saturday June 1 (9 am until noon). Can’t wait to see everyone and share the joy of flowers. Until then, here’s a look at some of this week’s blooms.
A Purple Scape. Can’t wait for those lavender to join the Purple Party!
So this dramatic piece was created for customers hosting a fundraiser at their home this evening. It features the last of the pink and white border lilies and a huge spiky icecycle oak leaf hydrangea bloom. The gorgeous pink vase was from the customer’s Mothers Day bouquet.
Happy Heavenly Birthday Lindsay Moore! I cut this arrangement especially for you. I miss you every day.
Okay! I promise this will be the last promo post for tomorrow. These large leaves are from my amaryllis bulbs which are about to be evicted to the outdoors. I had a few extra stems from the assembly of the Mothers Day Bouquets earlier today. Tomorrow during the Springfest, I will create an arrangement using those leftovers with the amaryllis leaves as the green base. Scroll to see the cool Electric Lime Coleus plants we will have available tomorrow too. Perfect patio plant….just plop them into your favorite planter. They are wonderful because they work indoors or outdoors…..sun or shade. Until tomorrow….
Mama said “what a beautiful bouquet”! They are all ready for tomorrow (Saturday May 11) noon to four at Libby Hill Park. Some bouquets are large and in charge…..others are sweet and petite. Can’t wait to see you!
Yes we grow a lot of flowers but I have also been with for a mighty long time. These tiny 2” and larger have been drying for a few seasons and waiting for inspiration. I asked Heather to beauty them up and that’s exactly what she did….with gold leaf!! These photos do not do these Gilded Gourds justice….they are absolutely GORGEOUS!! They will be available on Saturday at the at noon until four.
This little arrangement heralds the official end of season and the beginning of season. Nigella (Love In A Mist) will be available this weekend in our at Saturday May 11 at (noon until four).
First of the season opened up this morning. Not in my poppy patch, in my ranunculus container. It has been slowly growing in the well fertilized soil. Ranunculus starts to go dormant as the temps rise above 70 degrees (we have been closer to 90 on several days over the past couple of weeks). This poppy is huge with tons of buds on it. Hope it won’t meet the same fate as the few that germinated in my poppy patch (rabbit food? groundhog food?….somebody is regularly eating the buds off of them)
Sweet bouquet.
Just a little over a week from now. Second Annual Church Hill Springfest. Libby Hill Park. Be there or be square. Flowers, plants, gourds and more!
