Labor Day Travel Plans? Don’t forget to prepare a travel kit that contains all your dental care essentials! If you’ve traveled in the past, you probably already have one that includes everything you need for traveling with Invisalign. Regardless, here are some essential items your kit should include:
Toothbrush – It’s a good idea to pack multiple toothbrushes in several convenient locations, such as your suitcase, carry-on, and handbag. That way, you always have your toothbrush on hand to clean your teeth after eating or drinking.
Dental Floss – You’ll need some dental floss to thoroughly clean between your teeth at least once a day.
Mouthwash – Rinsing with an antiseptic mouthwash is a great way to eliminate any lingering debris that brushing alone can’t remove.
Your comfort is our top priority! Be sure to ask for any/or all of your favorite amenities at your appointment!
Two times a day, every day, it’s hard trust me I know. You are exhausted from a long day’s work running every which way after work then when it finally comes time to lay down you don’t want to have to worry with taking the time to brush your teeth. Don’t skip it though because brushing before bed allows you to remove the food debris from the day and doesn’t allow the bad bacteria to produce more acid while you are sleeping overnight.
Friday Night Lights are right around the corner and we cannot wait!!
If you’re not feeling confident about your smile, hiding it will become second nature. Lack of confidence due to dullness or missing teeth is a very common experience. Give us a call and start smiling again! :)

Happy National Ice Cream Day! Do you love ice cream but have teeth that are sensitive to cold? Here are some suggestions to help with cold sensitivity:
Desensitizing toothpaste: There are several brands of toothpaste to help combat sensitive teeth. You may need to try different brands to find what works best for you.
Dental bonding or sealants: If tooth sensitivity is caused by exposed dentin due to receding gums or enamel erosion, your dentist may recommend applying dental bonding or sealants to cover and protect the exposed surfaces.
Fluoride: Fluoride helps further strengthen your tooth enamel and overcome tooth sensitivity.
Mouthguard: Constant clenching and grinding of the teeth wears away tooth enamel. Adding a mouthguard can help limit the stress put on your teeth.
Root canal therapy: In severe cases of tooth sensitivity, if the nerve inside the tooth is affected, root canal therapy may be necessary to remove the damaged nerve tissue and alleviate the sensitivity.
Lifestyle changes: Making changes to your oral hygiene routine, such as using a soft-bristled toothbrush and avoiding abrasive toothpaste or aggressive brushing techniques, can help reduce sensitivity. Additionally, avoiding acidic foods and drinks, quitting smoking, and addressing teeth grinding or clenching habits can also help improve sensitivity.
