Somerville-Hawes Dads’ Night is a 501(c)3 charitable organization that has been continuously operating for 80 years in Ridgewood, New Jersey. Founded in 1944, the mission of our organization is based on three main pillars - family, friends, and community. We address the needs of the scholastic experience of Somerville and Hawes Elementary Schools. This is done by assisting in the provision of goods and services which often fall outside of the normal Ridgewood Board of Education budget. Another key element of service is helping to support members of our local community during times of crisis.

One of several fundraising events we hold throughout the course of a calendar year includes our Annual Dads’ Night Golf Outing with roughly 150 participants. The outing includes 18 holes of golf, live and on-line auctions, and dinner. Numerous local businesses graciously provide various items to support our great event. Last year we raised a record-breaking level of sponsorships and this year we would like to surpass that level in hopes to reach all with the purpose of aiding key projects for our schools and community!

The outing will take place on Friday, September 20th at New York Country Club in Spring Valley, NY. We are hopeful that you will consider being a hole sponsor for $250. Your company logo will be displayed on-site as well as part of our online auction site.

The North Jersey Masters Beginner Running Program is a fun, supportive, 8-week learn to run program geared towards beginners new to running and to those returning to running after a break. NO PRIOR RUNNING EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED!

Emmanuel Church Hosts VBS Compassion Camp
Ridgewood, NJ – Emmanuel Church is thrilled to announce its Vacation Bible School (VBS) Compassion Camp, themed "What Every Living Thing Needs," scheduled for July 22nd to July 24th, 2024.
Children are invited to explore compassion through Bible stories, music, and arts during the following sessions:
● Monday, July 22nd: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
● Tuesday, July 23rd: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
● Wednesday, July 24th: 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM (all adults are welcome for a special VBS evening experience with Pastor Arturo Pierre Lewis)
Lunch will be provided, with a special treat on the last day. This event, led by our Christian Education Team and Senior Minister, Rev. Dr. Arturo Pierre Lewis, is open to all. Registration is required; go to bit.ly/emmanuelvbs2024 to register.
