Meeting with other Bergen County professionals at Allegro in Harrington Park. Growing up in Harrington Park I lived on the other side of this reservoir, but this perspective, looking toward Haworth, Oradell, and Emerson is a new one for me. What an incredible view!

Proud dad moment! It was so much fun watching the kids get out and play organized sports for the first time today. Growing up I played soccer/football, basketball, and baseball every year from K-8. I had so much fun, made lifelong friends, and learned a lot about teamwork and sportsmanship.

Whether we’re raising the next Carli Lloyd and Matt Turner is irrelevant. I just hope these kids create great memories and learn a thing or two that will help them in life along the way!

NOW… who knows where they still sell coffee in those “We Are Happy to Serve You” cups? 🤣

Trader Joe’s edges out Whole Foods Market in terms of raising home property values, and both specialty grocers’ more than double deep-discount grocery chain Aldi on that score, according to property data specialist ATTOM Data Solutions.

The average value of homes near a Trader Joe’s store is $644,558, compared with $532,224 for Whole Foods and $250,850 Aldi, Irvine, Calif.-based ATTOM said Wednesday in releasing its annual 2020 Grocery Store Wars analysis.

On the plus side for home owners and buyers, homes situated in proximity to an Aldi store saw an average five-year home price appreciation of 41%, more than for those near a Trader Joe’s or a Whole Foods, which had respective appreciations of 35% and 33% during that time span.

- Following college I worked for two (2) years as a Special Education Teacher’s Aide and job coach at NVOT
