Our Member Spotlight shines on Carol Schultheis, who has been a member of HCC for 9 years. When not singing lead, Carol is a retired database administrator and loves travel, cruising, and reading. Carol shared that "singing brings me joy" which is evident as she is also a member of Evergreen Chorus!

HCC’s first rehearsal of the New Year was AMAZING!
We began the evening with the first of our weekly Mental Training exercises (inspired by the one and only Britt-Helene Bonnedahl) facilitated by CJ Mannion. 🕉️ Diane Sussuma did an AWESOME job teaching us NEW choreography. 💃And in the absence of our interim director, , Kat Britt stepped up and led us in creating some beautiful sounds. 🎶
AND we officially welcomed NEW baritone, Amy, to the risers! 👏🏻
If tonight was any indication, 2024 is going to be an EXTRAORDINARY year for Harmony Celebration! 🎉

HCC shared some holiday cheer this evening. 🎉🎶🎄🕎🥂🍻
Many thanks to our host, Kate, to Barbara for coordinating, to Jean and Diane for the reindeer games, and our members for providing all the scrumptious food and treats.
We sang. We laughed. We ate. We drank. We spent precious time together sharing our love and appreciation for each other. What a joyous place to be!
Had a wonderful time with Harmonics Quartet spreading holiday cheer through Westfield NJ - Downtown. Music brings such joy! Happy Chanukah, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year & Happy Holidays to all! Thanks to my sisters in song Georgette Carter Chrystal, Karen L Kumpf & Sarah Gill Coffin and to Mark Schuman for being our chauffeur & errand boy!

HCC was RINGING in the holidays this morning. We welcomed visitors and staff in the lobbies at two locations and had a wonderful time sharing songs of the season with passers by.

Our Member Spotlight shines on CJ DeMarco who has been a member of HCC since 2021! When not singing bari, CJ is a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice and is a member of the Little Black Dress Quartet (with three other HCC members!). She enjoys painting, traveling, mindfulness practices, live music of all sorts, and spending time with her grandchildren❤️. CJ says she is grateful to have found HCC and for "the laughter and joy I share singing with these amazing and talented human beings."

Our Member Spotlight shines on Stephanie Robinson, who has been a member of HCC since the beginning after starting with Ramapo Valley in 1993! When not singing bass, Stephanie is an office manager and enjoys baking (we LOVE her cookies), knitting (she creates beautiful baby clothes), biking, swimming, and watching/reading science fiction. Stephanie is a "barber-brat" and sang for 12 years with her mom in RV. Her brother is HCC's most enthusiastic fan, as well as a barbershopper himself, and her dad is their "biggest cheerleader!" Stephanie shared that "it was wonderful to see many of (her extended family in Ireland) on our chorus tour in October."

Our Member Spotlight shines on Lucia Diaz-Romero, who has been a member of HCC since 2020! When not singing bass, Lucia is a School Psychologist and is one of HCC's Team Co-Coordinators. She enjoys movies, attending musical theatre and other performances. She also likes to travel and explore new places, cultures, and food. Lucia comes from a family of musicians who play multiple instruments and are involved in different genres (jazz, pop, R&B, and marching arts). She is very proud of her children's achievements in music. Lucia says "I truly enjoy singing with HCC and value the friendships and the opportunity to make music with such a wonderful group of talented people!"

The Harmony Celebration Chorus is thrilled to announce that Jack Pinto will be our interim director for the next six months as we continue our search for a permanent director. Jack is a talented singer, director, and coach who has been a barbershopper his whole life. He grew up admiring Renee Craig and the Ramapo Valley Chorus! Jack most recently directed the BHS Brothers in Harmony to several top ten finishes in addition to being a BHS quartet champion with Old School. He also directed two choruses in our very own Greater NY/NJ Region #15 years ago. We are so grateful to have Jack guiding us as we continue our chorus journey. Welcome, Jack!
