Hello, Disc Golfers! This is an official post for an unofficial very casual random doubles series that we’re hoping will eventually be our new fall league on Saturdays in River Falls! We’ll be playing at the Sterling Hill Disc Golf Course at 210 Huppert St, River Falls, WI!! $5 per player, sign up Saturday morning 10:30-10:45 and we’ll draw partners shortly after. We’ll also have an optional $1 Ace pot starting at $50! Everyone is welcome, but be prepared… word is Sterling Hill takes no prisoners🤠. Hope to see a great group of players in the morning! Let’s play some random doubles disc golf!😎

The Glen Park Pool will be closing at the conclusion of open swim on August 30th, 2024. We hope to see you all again before the season ends!

What a great summer at Parks & Rec mini-camps! Thank you to our two lead staff members Rachel and Sage (pictured) and all the other summer recreation staff for leading such fun activities!

We had six Pre-K T-Ball teams and four Kindergarten T-Ball teams this year! A huge thank you to all the volunteer parent coaches!

We had 11 Cub A teams this year! Great job, everyone!

In our Cub B league, the first-place team was the B3 gold Edward Jones team. Congratulations! They all enjoyed the opportunity to play at FNBRF Field.

Parks & Rec had fun sessions of spring and summer soccer at Glen Park! Thanks for joining us!

Join us for a new Adult Disc Golf 101 class! This class will be instructed by a local disc golf enthusiast and will teach the fundamental skills of the game. The class will meet twice for 1 hour each.

Let's give a big round of applause to all the lifeguards at Glen Park Pool for International Lifeguard Appreciation Day on July 31! This day was created to recognize and thank these brave individuals for protecting swimmers from harm. The best way to show your appreciation to a lifeguard is follow the facility rules, keep an eye on your children or weak swimmers, and willingly follow lifeguard instructions. Be sure to thank them the next time you swim!

Youth Traveling Baseball is open to 3rd through 8th grade athletes in the River Falls community/school system.

Registration is required to try out on Aug. 24 as well as the non-refundable $50 evaluation fee.

Please be thorough/precise in completing all the information. The information should represent the GRADE YOUR CHILD WILL BE ENTERING THIS FALL. Please include emails of all parents/guardians you would like future basketball communications sent to. (We cannot add email contacts later.)

We are always looking for coaches!! Every year we need to reach out to parents after the registration deadline, as we are typically short on coaches. Please consider helping out the program by serving as a volunteer coach!

We have strict deadlines for registration so please do not delay. We cannot guarantee there will be space on our teams after these dates. Please see registration deadlines below.

6th-8th Grade Boys: Aug 23 (traveling)

(**Mandatory Evaluations for 6th-8th grades for team placement will take place in mid-October. 6th, 7th & 8th grade teams will be divided up based on skill level.)

5th Grade Boys: Aug 23 (traveling). 5th grade teams will be split evenly.

3rd-4th Grade Boys: Oct 11 (Mini NBA: 3rd grade games will be half court 3 on 3. NEW: 4th grade games will be full court 4 on 4.)

1st-2nd Grade Boys: Oct 11 (Saturday morning Skills in Nov-Dec)

**Please note: 7th-8th grade also has a school ball program which is a separate program from our association. School ball is a basketball program run through MMS/RFSD.

What a beautiful afternoon we had for Fire Truck Water Fun yesterday! Thank you to all the River Falls volunteer firefighters that made so much fun for the kids!

Happy Wednesday! The City of River Falls Parks and Recreation Department would like to send a huge thank you to the River Falls Youth Baseball Organization.

The RFYBO players volunteered their time to add much needed infield mix to the Rocky Branch game field.

GPP is closed for afternoon swim due to lightning in the area.

We plan to reopen for evening swim lessons, lap swim, and evening swim.

Glen Park Pool will only be open 1-4 p.m. on Friday, July 12 (no lap swim and no evening open swim) due to the River Falls Days parade.

The Glen Park Pool will be closed on the evening of Thursday, July 4. Sorry, there will be no lap swim. Have a fun and safe 4th!

Between the rainy weather and a broken piece of equipment, it’s been a tough week, but Glen Park Pool is now operational! We plan to be open tomorrow for open swim and lap swim (weather dependent).
