CHURRO CATERER ARRESTED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A MINOR

RIVERSIDE, CA – In late August 2022, Riverside Police Officers began an investigation into an alleged sexual assault that occurred at an apartment in Riverside. A 17-year-old victim reported she had been sexually assaulted after meeting with a churro catering owner at his business being run out of his apartment.

Detectives assigned to the Sexual Assault – Child Abuse Unit conducted follow up and were able to identify the suspect as 24-year-old Brian Meza Iniguez of Riverside. He is the owner of “Billions Mobile Inc.” who also operates as “Cali Catering” or “Churros-N-Cream Catering.” During their investigation, detectives learned Mr. Iniguez was also a suspect in a similar investigation that occurred in early August 2022.

With assistance from the Riverside Police Department’s Post Release Accountability & Compliance Team (PACT), detectives located and arrested Mr. Iniguez on Thursday, October 13th. They also served a search warrant at his apartment in the 3700 block of Main Street in downtown Riverside. Mr. Iniguez was later booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for sexual assault but has since been released on $55,000 bail.

This investigation is still ongoing and detectives believe there may be additional victims the suspect contacted through his “Churros-N-Cream Catering” or “Cali Catering” business who have not yet come forward. Anyone with additional information regarding this investigation and arrest are urged to contact Detective Edward Vazquez at (951) 353-7136 or [email protected].

Posted • It is with deep sadness we report the passing of the Art Laboe, legendary pioneering radio icon and music veteran, the man who coined and trademarked the phrase "Oldies But Goodies™," he was 97. He died peacefully at his home in Palm Springs, CA on Friday night, October 7, 2022 after a short case of pneumonia. Condolences to Art’s legions of fans, family, friends, and colleagues.
September 2022, marked 79 years as a radio performer marking the longest continuous period of broadcasting service.
Art Laboe's legacy will endure as his team will continue to produce his current nightly request and dedication syndicated radio show, The Art Laboe Connection, which is heard on 93.5 KDAY/Los Angeles Sundays from 6pm-midnight, and weeknights from 9pm-midnight on KOCP/Oxnard, KQIE/Riverside-San Bernardino, KMRJ/Palm Springs, and many stations throughout the Southwest. A memorial service will be announced later.
