Tomorrow starts the no left turn from or to Perry from 13th.
From RCA minutes:
The focus of the intervention is on left turns onto and off of Perry Street. It was determined that installing an additional traffic light or stop sign was not an appropriate solution. The City is planning to instead install a temporary delineator down the center of 13th Street for a short section of the road. The delineator is a strip with flexible high-visibility plastic poles to prevent traffic from crossing (see picture in this article). This delineator will not interfere with traffic turning into or out of any of the businesses along this part of 13th Street.
Once the delineator is installed, the City will again conduct a traffic flow study to see the results of this intervention. For the first few weeks there will be higher than usual monitoring and enforcement in this area by the Wichita Police Department. The current plan is for the delineator to be installed and monitored for about six months, after which, the City will determine whether this is an effective solution or if it has just moved traffic issues to other streets.
The City will be placing portable electronic signs in the area before the installation of the traffic delineator to warn people of upcoming changes. As these planned changes take effect, the City needs to hear feedback to prevent bigger problems. Please address concerns to Lee Carmichael at 268-4428.

Happy November! Tired of raking leaves yet? Here’s some good news: you should leave your leaves be! 🍁
"Over winter months, a lot of butterflies and moths as pupa or caterpillar are in the leaf litter, and when you rake it up you are removing the whole population of butterflies you would otherwise see in your yard.”
