In 1993, a small group of volunteer and career firefighters from the community of Pedley began supporting families with toys and food during the holiday season. Within a few years, firefighters from the communities of Pedley, Glen Avon, Mira Loma, Rubidioux, and West Riverside joined together to support the greater community of Jurupa Valley. Who is joining us for the Jurupa Parks and Rec’s annual Spooktacular? We will be there with our spin the wheel booth where you can win things from candy bars, chips, and cupcakes from Jurupa Valley’s Simply Cakes Etc. Reminiscing about the First Flabob Haunted Airport Trunk or Trea where we joined numerous vendors including Pizza Plug, the Inland Empire Wood Workers with their awesome wagon ride on the event and some really cool decorated cars. We hope to be part of next years as well, it was great seeing the community come out for a night of fun!

Join the Jurupa Valley Adopt a Family, along with other community vendors this Saturday October 12th from 5-10pm for a fun family friendly community trunk or treat at Flabob airport. Though the event is free you still need to register at Eventbrite. Hope to see you there!
We hope to make this year another successful year! Yet, we can’t do that without the communities support. There is no amount too small. Every little bit helps us fund our programs and bring new ones to light.
Have you ever wondered how you can donate without leaving the comfort of your home? This year our fliers and mailers will include our QR code for our PayPal donations where community members, family, and friends can donate. It can be a one time or a monthly recurring donation if you like. Donations go to help us give back to our community including our holiday adoption program, the Santa Express, college scholarships, community events, health and safety education, and more! As we near the end of September our volunteers are busy finalizing routes, applications and volunteer dates for the 2024 holiday season. If you are interested in being part of the parade or volunteering please make sure to email [email protected] for more information. The parade will kick off on Saturday December 7th in Sky Country followed by Rubidoux, Indian Hills and Glen Avon. Watch for updates and routes to be posted hoping by the beginning of November.
Applications for holiday adoption will open up the second week of October. Remember you must live in Jurupa Valley with proof of residency or your children must attend school in the Jurupa Unified School District.
Many of us have NEVER forgotten where we were as we watched the tragic events of 9/11 unfold. That day 23 years ago and the days following we stood strong with love, understanding and compassion. Let’s not forget those who we loss and how we came together as a country.
This morning our Chairwoman Jennifer and Vice Chairman Raymond and newly elected board member Lissette attended the Jurupa Valley VFW post 10267 annual sunrise 9/11 remembrance. Was a great morning to reflect and share with community members.
Thank you to EVERYONE!! Who made this event possible, nearly 500 people enjoyed the family fun. So, THANK YOU to our volunteers, the vendors who braved the weather to be out with us, the Riverside County Sheriff Jurupa Valley Station , CAL Fire Station 17, Mayor W***y Silva, and Councilwoman Leslie Altamirano with out the community spirit we wouldn’t be able to have amazing events such as this! We look forward to the next!!

Today is the day, Santa will be arriving from vacation to join the Jurupa Valley Adopt A Family, Mayor W***y Silva, Councilwoman Leslie Altamirano, many volunteers and community organizations for Christmas in July!! We hope to see you there Jurupa Valley! 11am-3 pm at Vernola Park!

In just about a week on Sunday July 28th the Jurupa Valley Adopt a Family along with Santa, Mayor Guillermo “W***y” Silva, and Councilwoman Leslie Altamirano, will bring a free family fun event to Vernola Park from 11-3pm. The fun includes a magic show, game truck, face painting, toy giveaway, food, community info booth, and more.
Come join us Sunday July 28th from 11am-3pm at Vernola park as Santa makes his way to Jurupa Valley and joins the Jurupa Valley Adopt a Family for Christmas in July. We will be joined by Mayor W***y Silva and Councilwoman Leslie Altamirano for a free family friendly event. We will have a magic show, free food, games and a toy giveaway, along with community resource booths and more. No need to RSVP.
The Jurupa Valley Adopt a Family will have a booth at the Home and Backyard show this weekend at the Riverside Convention Center!! We will have a raffle/info booth to bring info about our holiday adoption program and our Christmas in July Family Fun event July 28th!

Santa’s making his way to Jurupa Valley early this year!! , Santa will join the Jurupa Valley Adopt a Family , Jurupa Valley Mayor Guillermo “W***y” Silva and Council member Leslie Altamirano in bringing Christmas in July to the kids of Jurupa Valley. Santa will help hand out toys and host some family fun activities. He will also help share how you can get involved helping the Jurupa Valley Adopt a Family and Santa during Christmas with the parade and toy distribution. ! Watch for all the details soon.
