Every week, VCU School of Dentistry students come to Bradley Free Clinic to care for our patients. Our patients get excellent care, and the students get a wonderful learning experience.

Here is what one student shared: "I loved my experience at Bradley. The patients were great, and they were so thankful for the care. One patient told me, 'Dental care is very important to me, but I can't afford it outside the free clinic. I get quality care here. Thank you.' This was a wonderful experience, and I am so thankful to have been a part of it."

To many of you, this tractor might look like the machine you use on weekends to tackle your yard.

However, Michael used it as his transportation to make it to his Thursday evening appointment at Bradley Free Clinic. Although his bike had been stolen, he wasn’t going to miss his doctor’s visit, so he hopped on his tractor and came anyway!

Michael’s determination is just one example of the strength we see in our patients every day. It’s matched by the incredible dedication of our staff and volunteers, who go above and beyond to provide quality care.

In honor of Overdose Awareness Day, we remember those we have lost to opioid addiction and honor the team at the HOPE Initiative, who work daily to help those on their recovery journey.

Thanks to Virginia Mercury for sharing the story about the wonderful partnership between Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation, the Virginia Association of Free & Charitable Clinics, and Bradley Free Clinic's HOPE Initiative to expand HOPE's unique peer support program to other free clinics in Virginia. Congratulations to the Health Wagon in Wise County for being the first recipient of this generous grant.
