We worked on identifying our breath and communication through a partner yoga and a ton of laughter, which is always good for fixing everything. They are off to the mountains to learn survival skills while backpacking for a few days. How cold is that?

I was fortunate to lead the incredible and oh so sweet Rail Yard Dawgs with Madi at Uttara Yoga Studio today. After watching them play Friday and seeing them so aggressive then seeing them like the sweet men that have been coming to class is such a wonderful contrast. We worked hard on feet, shins and shoulders. I love hearing the groans and ahhhhs. But my favorite is when one player asked if he could call me to put him to sleep and they all commented on how they just wanted to take a nap now. #ididmyjobright

I've started saying this all the time. So many times this past year I will catch my breath being shallow, caught in the top of my body and when I realize it and check-in, I realize I am in a state of anxiety. (Damn Covid) Once I deepen my breath, make it more full, and deepen it to the belly I am calm. This takes practice. Take a moment to put your hand on your belly and see if you can breath into the hand without moving your shoulders. Then gently bring the breath up to the top of the chest. Your anxiety will thank you. 🦄🌈🙏
