Our client hired Mitten RE to finish her basement and create a space to entertain guests. Updates as we move forward!

Custom conference table for our friends at the Green Garage. We worked closely with Matt and Tom to put together the ideal table that would work with the updated room’s capabilities. Completely custom top to match the other tops we made last year and a steel base to work with the new wiring schematics and minimize the exposed wiring.

Latest project has been completed! A new deck and ramp for the homeowners so they can get in and out easier. I was extremely happy to be apart of this project and help them get some independence back! On to the next.

Congratulations to our clients and friends on the birth of their baby girl! I hope she enjoys this custom wall we did in her nursery.

Custom built-in for our client adding needed storage and a freshened up living room. The client provided us with an inspiration photo to build their idea off of and this was the creation. We love how it turned out!

For this project, we replaced all of the interior hollow core slabs and closet bifold’s with some great looking solid core 6 panel slab doors and some bypass closet doors. The customer is getting the house spruced up for an upcoming graduation party.

Well we have been doing several door jobs lately! Here is one where we took out the standard metal slab door and updated it with a custom walnut entry. We also took a moment to update the light fixture. Love how this one came together!

What do you need updated?

Kitchen update: open shelving is in and quickly being utilized. Matching sill for the window and the herbs have some fresh sunshine! The finish line is quickly approaching. The next update should be the finished product. Keep an eye out for that!

Kitchen update, we are moving along! Cabinets, countertops, appliances all in! Client has full usage of their kitchen again!! Backsplash and open shelving coming soon with custom hood vent and pantry the last to complete. Stay tuned

Kitchen update. New floor is done! We also got the rough plumbing and electrical completed, replaced the 60 year old insulation and got the drywall hung.

If you’ve been following us, we posted last week a kitchen floor that had 3 layers to remove as part of the reno. We removed all the layers down to the subfloor, replaced the rotted areas, built it back up and leveled it out. Ready for tile. It’s about to go down!!

At Mitten RE, we provide a greener remodel. In this case, this kitchen was no longer up to par for our homeowner, yet the cabinets and appliances were still useful and had life left in them. We carefully removed the pieces so they could be sent to our friends at Architectural Salvage Warehouse of Detroit, a local nonprofit that helps serve the community with low cost building materials. Instead of a quick smash removal, we took our time to give these items a future in someone else’s home. Another bathroom wrapped up! Our homeowner got a great start on the the basement project but didn’t have the time to finish it up so we stepped up to the plate! Love how it turned out. Thank you to all of our clients !

Resized closet openings to allow for standard closet doors to be installed. We also added a custom closet organizer system.
